Thumbs up for a benign Spring anybody?

Well, I'm definitely on board! If this present pattern lasts much longer I fear I'll need counselling. :pac:

It really feels like Spring today!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,730 ✭✭✭Comhrá

Sure does! Did a little Spring cleaning today. Bottles & jars to the bottle-bank, swept the driveway, washed some external windows....tidied a small flowerbed.

I found that all the top 5 strongest El Ninos had a colder than normal April - looks very likely to me.

March in like a lion and out like a lamb?

More wind! Wind speed 46.7 kmh at the moment pushing drizzle along. One of those horrible mornings without the weather actually being that bad. 10.2c, so mild anyway.

    1520 update

Showers will continue tonight and will merge to longer spells of rain, sleet and snow overnight. Some hail and thunder also with gale force and squally westerly winds, stormy in coastal areas of the west and southwest. Lowest temperatures between zero or minus 1 and plus 3 degrees, risk of icy stretches in sheltered areas most especially in the east and north

I remember March 2003 in particular as I was pregnant on my first child and everyone was sitting outside the pubs in tshirts and shorts on Paddy's day and I was raging because I couldn't drink. :P It was a glorious month and a great summer as well that year. :D

    Spring and Autumn you mean

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,079 ✭✭✭✭JCX BXC

It's fair enough saying "WE ONLY GET 2 SEASONS" as a Joke (Which we painfully hear all the time), but how could anyone actually think that?

I don't know why they say we only get 2 seasons. It feels like 1 to me,

    "Mild, wet and dull"

Er...because we do. We don't have a summer or a winter. Our summer is like a late spring our winter more like late autumn. I'm not joking either.
