Last few runs showing another strong storm to slide by the NW of the country Wednesday afternoon into evening time. Some heavy showers passing through too it will only add to flooding problems in areas.

10m Winds showing easily a yellow warning for the whole country , orange and potentially red for the Atlantic coastal counties.

Winds at 950hp have winds maxed out

More rain when its certainly not needed.

Still time for it to go either way but best have people aware IMO.

Also, High tide along the west coast around 4pm Wednesday.

This is a usual one. Strongest on the west coast.

Rainfall around 30-70mm in places between now and Thursday morning.

Slight downgrade on the 06z GFS , still possible orange warning criteria for the NW and yellow for the rest of the country.

High tide in the NW around 4pm so not great timing.

30mm rain between now and thursday for the NW too.

Yeah it looks more like a high end yellow warning. Just a windy day for most parts but there could be a brief period of strong winds right on the exposed west coast so a limited orange warning is possible there. 06Z HIRLAM has sustained winds touching 85 km/h on the coast but it's not at all representative of the winds experienced inland.

Scottish islands could see some strong winds later though.

UKMO are only going for 105 km/h max gusts at the moment though.

A deepening depression is expected to move northeastwards passing to the northwest of Scotland on Wednesday. The associated frontal system will swing quickly eastwards into the area on Wednesday bringing gales with gusts of 50-60 mph widely and perhaps 65 mph over more exposed locations.
