Most people i know would pronounce look and luck the same way, as in book or took. Do you pronounce look as Luke?

I think some people would pronounce 'luck' more like 'lack', no?

I also know people who say buke instead of book, not sure why.

Near enough as makes no difference. I'm from the black north though so maybe our grasp of the Queen's English is a bit better than most here.

On reflection though, I do pronounce "took" as "tuck" but still pronounce "cook" as "kook" and "look" as "luke". e.g. "I tuck a luke out the window and saw a man kooking."

True for you, bah. The further one ventures North into the United Kingdom of Great England, Norn Ironistan, Deep-Fried Mars-Bar Land and No-one Gives a Shít About Wales, the more you could be forgiven for thinking you're listening to the dulcet tones of Ms. Saxe-Coburg Gotha herself. Newcastle, for example: Eee aah-reet, 'oway tha' day wor lad! Ah'm gannin yarrum laaahhhk!! :D

I stopped watching it when I first saw the biker wearing sneakers:eek:

As far as I know, hardly genuine biker attire.....having said that, I don't have a bike and know FA about bikers really.

Sutter done loads of research and had real bikers as part of the cast. Happy is a Hells Angel who was brought in as a bike and gang guy, and was given a chance to act. A few other people are real bikers as well like the big massive guy that you probably havent seen yet.

But I do admit, some of what happens is very far fetched.

What really annoys me is the character that Sutter played in the show (Otto). Every scene was tense and dramatic and gory. He appears to be doing it in his latest show as well.

Going into a room and immediately forgetting why you went in.

Even worse when you go upstairs, walk around for a bit and come back downstairs not knowing why you went upstairs in the first place.:(

Hell no. Unless you're a 17-year-old on an NSR80 with de skinny chungwan on the pillion in a tank-top. Next question!

The sneakers were a tribute to a real biker guy that the show was created around. He used to wear Air Force 1's on his bike.
Most bikers would advise against this :)

Indeed. This reminds me of a TA of mine - goobers on their holidays who hire scooters or small motocycles and proceed to hoor about the place in T-shirt, shorts and flip-flops. It's as if tarmac only grates human tissue like parmesan when it's cold, or something.

Next time you're in the car, on a nice quiet bit of road, stop and hop out for a minute. Stoop down and have a feel of the road surface. Run the back of your hand along it. Then imagine hitting it with a T-shirt covered shoulder or shorts-clad arse at 60mph.

I've a nice scar on my arm of about 5 inches long from a scrambler accident when I was 16. When I say accident, I mean failed stunt... I was wearing protective gear, but I judged a jump wrong and went over the handle bars. Put my arm up over my face because it was an open front helmet and when I hit the ground the elbow pad just slid up to my forearm and I travelled 5 or 6ft along the dirt. Covered in blood I got the best medical treatment I could have expected... half a bottle of iodine poured over me and pat on the back with a "Ah you'll be ok... bye bye now"

My OH has a huge scar on her foot from where she came off a scooter with flip flops on  My Dad has a hole in the side of his knee where he had rods to suspend his leg for 6 months after coming off a bike. Motorcyclists are so vulnerable :(

    Clickbait - it's everywhere :(

"You won't believe what happened next!"

    "His reaction will shock you"

    Misleading headlines on websites.

    It's infuriating :(
