Nope. Turned around in the Atlantic to maybe Medical/Technical. There the usual's 99% of the time.

Does Shannon seem to be getting a higher number of medical/tech/air-rage divertions in recent times, or were there always this many?

Seems not a week goes by now without one or two such incidents.

2 dreamliner diversions from Ethiopian in 2 days! ET504 diverted back to ADD after takeoff on the 21st. Ending up arriving 14 hours late.

Been watching go-arounds ag ACE all day, just another one there. I'd say since 12pm over 50% of flights have Diverted to FUE or LPA.

given that bussing isnt an option, are they all trying again?

theres a TUI plan just about to go in from LPA and and a finnish plane that came from FUE that went around looks like again - will be a few brown trousers on that flight id say if there are nervous passengers onboard.

That earlier diversion to Las Palmas finally made it in ACE, the first landing in around 30mins.

I assume so they have to fly them, ferrying would be VERY costly and time consuming.

EI857 cork to Alicante, diverting to Dublin after an averted landing at Cork, it woke me up as it went over. Just heard a passenger fainted on-board and that's why they're diverting to Dublin.

    After a go around basically?
Was their bad weather at Cork?

    It also didn't divert.

Yeah there was some very heavy rain and wind last night, it was unusual to hear a plane fly overhead so late.

Yes sometimes rather than saying diverted FR24 decides to simply say landed...which is nice.

    Ya, its fun :)
The Dublin airport app is quite annoying too, it said Cancelled instead of diverted.

Do you know what caused this?

There was an orange rain warning and gusty winds that day, I'd also imagine there was storm clouds around, and from my experience they give some very bad and even frightening turbulence.
