I'm including 2 Arsenal midfielders in my team but there are actually 4 you could pick from, what order would you put them in. Ramsey, Carzola, Ozil and Walcott. I currently have Ramsey and Carzola in mine but I just dont know Ozil and Walcott are tempting me too

If choosing two then surely Walcott should be one of them.

If you want explosiveness and captaincy choices then: Walcott, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil

If you want security of starts and points: Cazorla, Ozil, Ramsey, Walcott (assuming Arteta doesn't start and steal pens for some reason)

If anyone fancies giving a draft league a try have set up a league here:

    https://www.dugoutfc.com/league/5939837362241536/i

Process seems pretty easy. The draft is in 9 days but you can set up a list so the draft is done automatically. Its leagues of 10 but if more than that join additional leagues are set up.

Quick questions, do people honestly think Mané is worth 8mil? I have him in my team now mostly because i don't know who else to pick at that price but also because he looked sharp at the end of last season in a team that were struggling to find the net when Pelle seemed to lose all signs of form. 8mil though... seems steep!

My other question is who do people feel the best mid priced midfielder is, I currently have Cabaye (6.5mil) but i'm not sure how happy I am with that even though he should do well for Palace.

I think 8m is about on the money at least initially. I plan on keeping for the GW1-GW5 fixtures gives us a good chance to looj at whether he is good value long term before the fixtures turn against them for a little while.

I was going to respond to that post in a similar manner until I saw this. I'd rank them the same way for security but go Walcott, Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla for explosiveness. I remember having Cazorla a couple of times and watching games. He'd hover outside the box while everybody else was buzzing about inside it.

That said, this assumes Ozil will continue his pre-season form because he can go off pretty quick too.

That's my reasoning behind it too... still though 8mil!

I'm also toying with the idea of having a 3rd really strong mid but i usually play 3-4-3 so id be left with one below par mid playing every week. Thoughts?

Cazorla can be explosive at times aswell. I have fond memories of captaining him for a 17 pointer against Villa last season.

As long as he remains on penalties he's a great option at his price imo.

Are you planning on rotating the 4th mid? There are a few rotations for the lesser teams that work quite well. I do try to reduce the money I have benched though so having a decent rotating pair at 5.5 means you often have more than you would like sitting on the bench. Could you stretch to Ritchie as a 4th mid then go with a 4.5 for the 5th? I'd be happy enough to play him for the first few weeks until the value players start to emerge.

Who starts for Arsenal though? I'm not sure if all 4 of the mentioned players get a start.

Would think it's Giroud up top with 3 of the 4 above mentioned, and then Coquelin and Wilshere as the midfield 2.

My bet would be that Walcott starts on the bench as an option to replace Giroud or the other 3. Then you have Sanchez to come back too...

Giroud being the only out and out number 9 makes him a much more attractive choice imo. I would be very wary of choosing Walcott tbh

I think you're on the money with this - Once Walcott signs his contract.

Until that time (and I can't see him signing anytime soon if past history is anything to go by ;) I think Walcott will be one of the first names on the sheet.

The noises about Benzema joining the party shouldn't be dismissed just yet though and that would really give us a headache.

The one above should do the job so. If you aren't in one of the FSA leagues there will be an FSA Qualifying league probably signing up next week or so. Its tough to qualify from but its good banter! That is what all the FSA League 1/League 2 are about in case you were wondering!

    Coquelin Caz
    Ramsey Ozil Theo
    Giroud

until Sanchez is back imo. Once he is, it's anyone's guess who starts at striker

Walcott is looking a bit too risky now. I might go for a Caz-Ozil double up instead.

I don't think Theo is in doubt tbh. He'll either start wide or up front for Giroud. With a full pre-season behind him he should be firing at the start of the season.

I'll never forget the time he scored 3 goals and 2 assists against Newcastle a couple of seasons ago. 56 points as captain. That's what he's capable of.

Yeah, I think hes nailed on for the first game or two, after which the place is his to lose. If he starts those games and in playing well he'll get a lot of gametime I reckon. We'll worth the risk for the first couple of weeks with the wildcard in the back pocket.

Ibrahim Afellay has signed for Stoke, this guy could be more exciting than Arnie:eek:

If Walcott is first choice all season I genuinely think he could finish top points scorer in the whole game.

Who's the safest 4.5m in Stokes defence?

I'm on Cameron at the moment: http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Stoke-City-Tour-Fresh-Geoff-Cameron-invaluable/story-27320052-detail/story.html

He's started at RB, CB, and CM for them so I think he's in with a good shout at starting most matches. Otherwise, Muniesa was getting a run at the end of the season but is quite injury prone

Can't see him being first choice tbh, people were saying(or hoping) the same last season when he returned from injury and it never materialized, a hattrick on the last day of the season in a match of no consequence the only highlight. Giroud will nearly always be ahead of him for the striker role (Welbeck too possibly) i.m.o., and I can't see any of Ozil/Sanchez/Cazorla being dropped when fit. Pity, as a regular playing Walcott has massive FPL potential, he's just a casualty of the quality of player around him at the moment
