Anyone here use maxol fuel I'm just woundering do people find it good as I always use topaz but was thinking Id try maxol and esso just to see if they are any better than topaz.

Find the engine runs a bit smoother with it, not necessarily getting more kms to a tank or anything though.

    It's far far far better.
Topaz is p1ss compared to it.
Car gets more miles and is punchier on maxol.

That said i put 56 litres in yesterday, €80.
    220 miles later and there's barely 1/4 left :D

Nice one sure I'll try it and see how I get on I find topaz seems to be going down hill in the last 6 months but that could be just in my head no real facts to back it up. It's gone under the 1/2 tank mark so I'll fill up Sunday evening. Doing carlow Monday and cork wednesday. Kerry the week after loads of going have it 4 weeks today 2700km on it so far so not massive mileage either really im too busy working :pac:

Thats ****e I put in 56 litres in the Honda beginning of the week, and 200 miles later have over half a tank left.

However if I'm doing all city driving it's worse, about 28 mpg

I've bought solely Tesco fuel since 2008. Ran all my cars on it and the cars i usually drive are supposed to be the ones most prone to **** fuel; jap imports and turbos. Tens of thousands of miles and zero bother whatsoever.

The buying experience in Tesco is great. Huge forecourt, plenty of pumps, good parking, pay at pump facilities, always gloves and blue paper available etc.

I've been using topaz a bit more than I normally would for the play or park tag thing. I used to fill up mainly with Maxol diesel and even with half a bottle of dipethane thrown in to a full tank (been a while since I used it) I reckon the topaz isnt giving me as many miles. Could be due to the weather getting warmer mind you.

Spotted m-i-m-m-'s Levin. Looked nice and clean, too bad it was dark and he was driving the other direction though.

Met a cyclist while out on a drive, near kylemore abbey.
I was on full throttle climbing the gears.
Could see him coming towards me waving at me to drive it on.
He gave a big thumbs up after i passed on full throttle.

Kind of restored my faith in cyclists a touch :)

Are we really asking this question in levin vs s2000 debate? :pac:

Anyway, **** my life... Spent a good bit of money and the stupid whining noise is still there. It really annoys the **** out of me now.
Will have to go to my mechanic again next week... If that's one bearing that goes in to rear diff that is making all this noise then I will burst a testicle as it was the only one not changed...

Nearly ploughed a cyclist out of it yesterday in Rathmines. He was just about to overtake a bus. Nearly a brown moment in the pants for me.

People out for a leisurely cycle have a different attitude to those in cities, commuting etc. Suppose you were hindered by tourists in their rentals. They annoy me so much, so little opportunities to overtake either. That road can actually be nice if you get a clear run at it. And if a sheep doesn't run out infront of you! Best part is driving along the fjord at Killary\Lennane.

Friend wrote his car off along Kylemore a few weeks back, too close to the verge, wet leaves and mulch and it kicked out. You'd be surprised at the amount of crashes out there. You'd be lucky to come across a crash barrier that hasn't been bashed somewhere along it.

I can see plenty of evidence of crashes alright.
    The sweeping turns are awesome!
Plenty of cyclists but a quick blast of 2nd deals with them :)

No he still has the levin. You are mixing up another forum member who has the Slivia and also a S2000.

So the humming turned out to be indeed a bearing. Drivers side so that will need doing and the right upper wishbone is on the way out. :D but on the bright side the wheels have balanced and the AC works a treat.
