    DOes ford even own Aston?

    Ford owns Aston indeed. ;)

    =========================

In fact, from 1994 to 2007 Aston was a part of Premier Automotive Group, owned by Ford Motor Company.

I prefer the 90's classic ford fronted saloons. This business of blatantly copying Astons doesnt make sense to me.

It does look like Aston, but I still like it. Sow one in estate version, all white with nice wheels and blackend trim. Looked really damn well!

Anyway, got all bearings in cork for my scooby. Should get it back tonight!

Saw one parked next to a Mazda 6 and it looked a turd.

The Mondeo looks well imo, but the new Mazda 6 is quite something. Stunning car

You'd want to be careful with that kinda talk around here... Mazda seems to flick a switch for a few people who aren't even vested interest types

I agree on both counts btw.

    I've ordered 2 R1r's :)
I'm stupidly excited for 2 tyres!

Whatever about the Mazda 6 versus the Mondeo debate, I think the new Passat is a better car than the new Superb...

    Ultimate sleeper espace.

I've decided I want one. Or a sleeper. Any one.

Ya, they are getting more common alright. Took a while to find its feet, but seems to be in full swing now. They're starting to grow on me. Drove one a few weeks back, wouldn't be gone on the zetec interior, too many buttons, but the titanium has a nicer, cleaner finish, with the touch screen. Every single one I've seen so far looks the exact same with 17" alloys, difficult to tell if it's a zetec or titanium without looking inside. They really need the 19" alloys, I see some of the boys on the ford forums have 19's and they look the business.

There isnt much difference between old and new estate variant bar the front of the car. The spec doesnt seem to be up to much compared to the previous model or so I have seen thus far.

If I could fit the new front to the old front I would, but thats about it.

Renault made a formula 1 engined espace concept back in the day. Should have done that instead!

Found another interesting coin in the Vento. 50p from 1981 this time.

There's v little in the difference in the hatch either. Took this extremely bad pic last Jan (zoomed in loads), but you get the idea. Mk4 on the right, mk5 on the left. Boot opening on the mk5 is smaller though.

Got my tyres flipped around today, to kill them off! Just asked about tyres, yer man suggested a bonanza one, 75 a corner, B ratings all around. (16") He said they are on par with the bridgestone, they were part of bridgestone at one stage. Anyone any experiences

I'm sure they are but I can barely afford partworns right now. Luckily the Astra tyres are pretty decent and it uses the same bolt pattern as my Golf.

They're made in Hong Kong and as far as I know they aren't or weren't anything to do with Bridgestone.
Sounds like typical tyre salesman bull tbh
