Just after watching this, i thought it was pretty interesting so here ya go!

Check out 'TT closer to the edge'. Follows him around for TT week, a few years ago. Great documentary even if your not into bikes.

I only watched a tiny bit of that video but I do not know how those bike drivers drive at those excess speeds on those bikes on the isle of man. My heart does be in my mouth watching them on tv. You even see the wheels kick out slightly after they jumped and hit the road surface again.

fear is something you have to loose when you go doing that kinda thing

Actually watched that earlier on, it is really good!

Tis a good show. The rossi documentary is a good bike one too.

I don't think them lads had any fear to begin with. A lad in my class in school is starting to get going in the tt now. There's a road racing club in the town here. They're an odd bunch, a strange look in their eye. Never show much emotion in general. I was mad into bikes in school but moved away to work when I was 18 and got into other adrenaline junky sports. Probably for the best. Made bits of myself enough times doing them.

I think I'm at an age now where I could trust myself to buy one. I think...

bit like me and skating so, most normal people would find it very stupid to hurl yourself over a 20 flight of stairs down into a 6 foot drop beside them but to me this was perfectly normal at the time

I always found skating involved to much pain and not enough speed! The long boards are good though. Find them more natural to ride. Less speed wobble! I couldn't do tricks on a skateboard so just used to fly down hills. Surfings the only board sport I still do really. Might windsurf once a year. That's why I always have estate. Can't wait until I finish college in september. Going to spend a few weeks over west with the dog, tent and surfboard in the back. The same reason I bought my very first car, that corolla estate.

Tried skateboarding, didnt end well, threw on a pair of skates and it was as natural as anything, but 7 years later it too didnt end well :o

Ah sure estates are great really, even if everyone says otherwise

Jayus, I thought you were doing work experience?

Yep that's all it is but it is an actual proper job with responsibilities and a lot of different tasks to do daily not just sitting at a desk or shadowing someone if you get me. The way it is makes it a better way to learn anyway.

It's really frustrating when that happens especially if you made plans too but what can you do I guess that's what comes with work experience hopefully you can rearrange oh I know only too well of having the car in the garage

    Feckin Alfas :pac:

Yep hopefully they won't mind too much I suppose I could drop it off there tonight and get it back tomorrow night but the garage is 50-60 km away and being Carless is inconvient.

Thats annoying I assume its still under warranty and thats the reason you are bringing it back there i mean a wheel bearing could be changed by any competent mechanic really i mean it shouldnt really be that expensive do you consider when the merit of inconvenient 60km trip without car versus paying small bit to have it done locally you know?

Anyone driven a new vs old 3dr Audi A5? Thoughts? Was the new model just a facelift or totally new car?

Yep either renault or they are covering it just depends on whether renault will or not and if they don't the garage will cover it as I have a warranty with them on it. Rang them there so they said no hassle and it's now going in monday 2.00pm if I somehow get caught to work that day my mother can bring it in for me. As I don't want to let this drag on but she was working tomorrow so couldn't bring it for me hence why I had to change.

So I will just get this out of the system: new mondeo looks amazing in the flesh...

Is it me or those just started poping up everywhere? Very popular around these parts.

Ya, they are getting more common alright. Took a while to find its feet, but seems to be in full swing now. They're starting to grow on me. Drove one a few weeks back, wouldn't be gone on the zetec interior, too many buttons, but the titanium has a nicer, cleaner finish, with the touch screen. Every single one I've seen so far looks the exact same with 17" alloys, difficult to tell if it's a zetec or titanium without looking inside. They really need the 19" alloys, I see some of the boys on the ford forums have 19's and they look the business.

Quick question, Im returning home from Switzerland for a few days in July. My car is declared off the road so will be hoping to use my Mothers car, is the easiest way to just see if I can be added to her policy for the 5 days?

I'd say so. We do that with visiting Yanks semi-regularly. We're not usually even charged.

Smashing looking car, I'd gladly have one.

Plenty of them around Dublin anyhow.

I would kind of agree, IMO the front grill sits far too high, the body itself looks well.

I prefer the 90's classic ford fronted saloons. This business of blatantly copying Astons doesnt make sense to me.
    DOes ford even own Aston?
