Spent the afternoon car shopping and after each car I'm happier in my own leaving the lot:mad:

What are we in the mood for? I'm kinda restless with mine too but don't know what I want

The difffficulty of having a nice car already

Was just thinking the other day - that there doesn't seem to be much in the mainstream offerings to match VAG offerings in terms of being a nice car.

    Or am I wrong?????

New Mondeo seems a touch underwhelming vs the Passat - judging by reviews anyway - for example.

I like the look of the Peugeot 308 myself - b not up to the job after the Leon. Did you see Mr Goodmans brother civic in the pic thread.

Looks a nice car - 2.2 might be interesting if they actually offer that in Ireland

There's choice, but an awful lot of ropey enough new ish cars too. Kinda veering to holding tough a while now.

Yeah i'm fairly p1ssed off about it, but it couldve been a lot worse, i'd just come off from the m50 went to change gear and pedal went straight to the floor, I was in the overtaking lane so if it had've happened there it was game over :o ended up on the off ramp to the n7 in a layby thankfully, so now im plodding around in the 900, just to the shops and stuff

"only bad point is the rear drivers side wheel arch has a little rust but can be fixed ."

FFS would you not stick up some pictures of the rust then so one can judge for themselves?

got a new battery today and the thing didnt have enough power to crank my engine, 450A halfords one, I was surprised by this so brought it back and asked for one of the more expensive brands, a 550A Yuasa one, lucky it worked out but the engine ran rough for a few minutes

    1550 for insurance renewal.

Up from 1350 last year. And last year was with no no-claims bonus. ****'s sake.

Similar here this morning - the only difference I'd count on 1 hand amount of cars with any lights on.
