I gave my car a wash on the outside and dried it didn't bother with polish as its still shiny from the last time. Then gave it a good clean on the inside. Also gave my dad a hand to clean the other two.

My last day of freedom tomorrow. As my placement starts Tuesday so will be a big change but I'm sure I'll get use to it quickly enough it will be nice to get out of a lecture hall for a while and into a big working plant :) looks like I'm going straight onto shift too 12 hour shifts working every second weekend so thrown into the deep end. I'm kind of happy enough to work whatever hours shift or just normal 8.30-5 days wouldn't be mad about night shift tbh but I'm sure I would get use to it if I have too.

The main about it is earning money = money for car parts and anything motoring related.

Actually have it a year this week it was a quick year tbh it quickly approaching the longest I've ever kept a car had the focus 13 months Id love a mk6 but they are still soooo expensive its realistically going to be next summer by the time I can get one I'm happy enough to keep my mk5 anyway.

How many saabs have you had again :)

Wouldn't be a leon fan. I've always liked the shape of the mk6 golf I probably even prefer it to the mk7. I like the e90 but I probably would never buy one I don't really even know why. Id love a 197 clio but realistically that's weekend car material as it would be too load and hard on the road to drive everyday. Not really sure what else id look at in the 2009-2012 ish year bracket.

No I like the octavia mk2 especially in vrs form but yet I would never buy one as I always think of them as an older persons car maybe that's just from my parents and grandparents having one but you never really see anyone in their early 20s owning and driving an octavia.

I like the scirocco too again though not sure if I'd actually buy one. Anyway I suppose I have plenty of time to think about it.

One funny thing I've noticed about owning a golf and tbh I really don't look at them as being superior when I was learning to drive I was renault mad and would hardly look at anything else. But the thing I've noticed is a lot of people who have no interest in cars and ask you what car you have when you say you have a golf it's like its something special and they seem to talk about and who they know has one etc. Whereas if you said I have an astra its just an Oright response.

I'll probably just get another mk2 focus 1.6tdci so I can give out about it :pac: it's a real adventure driving one of them as you don't know where you will breakdown next or what will go wrong.

My dad had a 2006 one for a good while it was a great yoke infairness I really like it. Good little engine too.

Ah whatever I get next will be a car with back doors back when I was buying the golf I wanted a car the only reason I went for the one I have now is it was extremely clean and a couldn't find any decent car ones. Well I almost bought a highline mk6 car kind of regret not buying it but would have ment getting into debt to get it.

Good call, not something I would fancy doing for a car myself either

    Or a tddi focus :pac:

I think the latest leon is far nicer looking than the golf. I'd have one over a golf tbh. Is there much in the pricing difference?

Golf is more expensive. Leon feels smaller inside and the interior wouldn't be on the same par as the golf at all. But at the same time they are a nice car Id just far prefer to sit in the mk7 golf as its way nicer to look at inside however the leon probably looks flasher and stands out a bit more on the outside when it has the LED lighting pack.

Had a young kid sitting in the front of the car yesterday. He was drinking chocolate milk and he spilled it everywhere, all over himself, the seat, the floor, the gearstick, the handbrake, the radio, heater controls, all the centre console area. Now it's all sticky. Ewwww
