I know French cars get stick for bad electrics, but from what I have seen over the past few days they deserve it.

2011 Clio brake lights fading a flashing with indicator

2003 206 brake lights stuck on

2009 Megane all rear lights on apart from reverse light.

Seriously can they not get the basics right?!

Id get over the 03 - still annoying though.

Regarding the other two - YOU MAY just have struck bad luck with those - I was under impression that Clios (generally) are more reliable then your typical stereotypical Renault/French yoke - and that the Mk 3 Megane is A LOT better then the Megane 2.

I'm just back from a nice drive along the coast road North of Warrenpoint in the 159. I encountered an Aston Martin and in my head it went a little like this.

The truth is more that I did my best to keep up before he got bored and put the foot down fully. :o

I was just driving to the nct centre and the bonnet release catch failed and it flew up over the windscreen. Bonnet and roof are fairly badly disfigured and a nice crack halfway across the windscreen at the drivers eyeline. Luckily the shape of it meant I could still see enough to pull over safely. I was able to bend it back close enough to the right shape and lock it back in, but it won't re-open. :o I was just going to turn around and go home but said I'd at least call in and let them know. Good thing I did as they said both the windscreen and bonnet are visual fails so they'll still go ahead with the test and I won't lose out on the full €55. Hopefully it'll give them enough of a laugh to go easy on the rest of the car.

Did you do both by bumpers on your car FN or just the back one? Think uprated intercooler is next on my shopping list.

I got a whole new OEM rear bumper and the front drivers side was tidied up, still a bit of plastic trim hanging off which I must sort.
