For the umpteenth time it's NOT their fcuking home. They don't live there. It's a property they own and rent out to holiday guests. They are liable to pay income tax on the revenue they generate. The do not live there and invite any stranger except gays to come and stay. And even if it was there home this discrimination would be unacceptable. If a family lived in a house on college road in Galway and operated it as a bed and breakfast and stuck a sign in the window which read "Rooms available. No blacks allowed", your same absurd argument would apply but the law would see it very differently.

The house is only available for the winter months. How do you know it's not their home from May to November?

If you are so interested in my opinion on the matter that you feel the need to confront me on it in multiple threads I suggest you private message me it will be a more efficient method of educating yourself.

Paranoid much? You brought up another threads topic here and now you want to whine about it.

I havent read the whole thread, but I sense it may have gone astray somewhat, so I will only comment on the OP. I live in the Canary Islands. In general it is a fab place for gay people. While I'm not gay, the culture here is very liberal and personally I have lots of gay friends as a result of living here. My 7 year old daughter is learning a very important lesson in life regarding gay people and I hope she takes that with her as she gets older. One doesn't have to hide the fact that you are gay and one doesn't have to be restricted to particular bars if you are gay.

I've looked at the link for that particular villa and I'm not shocked by the blatant homophobia in it. I've seen similar stuff before. The Canary Islands are littered with British ex pats of an older generation and some of them are downright racist and homophobic. From ancient paddy jokes to ****, pakis, pufters and whatever else you're having. I've heard it all. They are dinosaurs stuck in a certain mentality and the only place they've ever travelled too are the Canary Islands. They are Roy Chubby Brown type people. I just laugh at them!

Even if it is there home for whatever period surely the responsibility lies on them to not to engage if it might put them in conflict with their beliefs?

They don't care. Nor are they remotely phased by the ads for gay only patrons on the same page. Victim cards only play one way.

Anyone else think the whole Gay only holiday scene as portrayed here is a bit nasty? http://www.travelgayeurope.com/gran-canaria-gay-hotels/

The photo of a load of blokes in a jacuzzi wearing the face off each other would tend to indicate that the holidays are all about massive orgies.

If this is how a Gay holiday is going to be portrayed then I fully understand why someone might decide not to allow it happen in their property.

(BTW I think straight 'swinger' holidays are nasty too)

    My admittedly childish query:

"Hello. I've noticed that you don't allow same sex couples. That's fine but i do like to do my girlfriend up the wrong'un. Is that banned too?"

    Regards in anticipation,
    Coolbeans.

One would be pretty stupid to assume all gay people act they way they are portrayed in promotional shots for one website.

It would be akin to assuming all Americans are scantily clad drunks based on a spring break photo, or that McDonald's food actually looks fresh and tasty based on a Big Mac ad.

I really wouldn't have thought we would need to explain to you that all gay people aren't a like, and that advertising shots aren't real.

Also, they are renting a small villa to a couple or small group of people, not inviting an entire gay bar to stay for a week.

Childish but actually exposes the hypocrisy of most of the people who claim homosexuality is unnatural or sinful.

Heterosexual oral sex is as equally sinful and unnatural as any sex act between gay people, yet few people ever seem too outraged by blow jobs, now do they?

Ignorant bigots prefer heterosexual couples because they can be happy imagining that they only do 'IT' as their own beliefs prescribe; Only for procreation and only in the missionary position. Not possible with gay couples.

So people in the states had a right to refuse to serve black people make them use separate bathrooms not partake in sports and not enter certain schools?

It was their right so we should have just let them at it. The world doesn't need to move forward or anything.

You cannot compare a race/ethnicity with people who are attracted to the same gender.

Gay is not an ethnicity, it's a sexual preference.

What is to disagree with? In all fairness that's so ridiculous. It's not a political opinion or a particular belief. It's a sexual orientation. That is kind of like 'disagreeing' with blood type B. Homophobia refers to a dislike or hatred of gay people. Using the word to describe people who are prejudice against gay people without actually being afraid of them, is entirely appropriate. For example the owners of the house in the OP are clearly homophobic as they are showing an irrational dislike of/desire to avoid contact with same sex couples.

Being Gay is not a biological precondition according to medical science. Sorry.

Why not? They're both innate parts of an individual over which the individual has absolutely no choice.

That's not true and I can demonstrate it; I can choose to be Gay right now if I liked. I can't choose to be a an African American.

    Absolutely untrue.

Being gay is an inborn trait over which the individual has no control. Homophobes love to wheel out the "it's a chosen lifestyle" argument.

Those landlords are bigoted homophobes. Simple as.

I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I'm ****ing deluded but I don't care, I'm beautiful. I'm having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me "Apache" and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can't accept me you're a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

Hi Apache, you may not be aware but there are laws around flying and killing people. You might want to check with your solicitor before taking part in such activities.

There were laws in America preventing black people from sitting in the front seats of buses but they changed that backwards view. We should respect his attack helicopter identity. It's not his fault he was born without an armor plated chassis .

As far as I remember the number of deaths due to black people not being in the back of the bus was quite low.

But if you think the slaughter of innocents is ok then I'm sure there are people willing to help you. ISIS are recruiting at the moment.
