It's November!! The Christmas season is well and truly upon us- so much so that Know Your Elves is now in double figures!! :D

This week it is the turn of IrishGurll.

    So...

What is the best Christmas present you ever received as a child?

Do you prefer Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Stephen's Day?

Do you listen to Christmas FM every year?

Do you have a favourite festive advert? :)

    Thank you Posy! :D
"What is the best Christmas present you ever received as a child?"
A beautiful wooden dollhouse, I didn't know it at the time but my grandad had spent months building it for me. It's something I still treasure to this day!

"Do you prefer Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Stephen's Day?"
    Christmas Eve!
I adore the atmosphere of it all, the last minute shoppers rushing around town, the church bells going, visiting the family before we settle down for the next day, preparing the food. Not long to go!!

"Do you listen to Christmas FM every year?"
Of course! Wouldn't be Christmas without it :)

"Do you have a favourite festive advert?"
It has to be the Kellogs Corkflakes add. It never fails to put a smile on my face! 'shh ho, ho, ho'

    Hi IrishGurll,
Do you do the cooking or just relax?
    Real or artificial tree?
What are you hoping to get for Christmas?

  • Registered Users Posts: 134 ✭✭IrishGurll

"Do you do the cooking or just relax?"
We share the cooking duty in my house. I do all of the prep and baking on Christmas Eve. And the rest of the family do the cooking on Christmas Day!

    "Real or artificial tree?"
We're getting our first real tree this year!

What are you hoping to get for Christmas?
Would love a nice boxset and perfume!

OMG IT'S NOVEMBER I'M SO EXCITED!!!

    Ok, on to the questions.

    1) How many do you have in your house/ where you Christmas?

    2) If you could have a mini Christmas every day for the month of December, or one MASSIVE AND PERFECT Christmas Day, which would you choose?

Hi Irishgurll do you tune into rte's toy show
    Do you hang Christmas stockings?
Will you take any leave of work to get Christmas shopping done?
Any christmas rituals in your house?

Do you have a colour scheme or a theme when you decorate your tree, or do you just chuck everything onto it?

Have you started your shopping yet? If not, when do you expect to?

Would you ever spend Christmas abroad?

If you could erase one Christmas song from existence, what would it be?

When do you really start to feel Christmassy?

Just me my mam and our dog! But at Christmas we have the entire extended family over!

    2) If you could have a mini Christmas every day for the month of December, or one MASSIVE AND PERFECT Christmas Day, which would you choose?
It would have to be a MASSIVE AND PERFECT Christmas day!! :)

"Hi Irishgurll do you tune into rte's toy show?"
I do of course, Christmas wouldn't be the same without Ryan and his tacky jumpers :')
    Do you hang Christmas stockings?
Yes! I've had the same stocking since I was a baby. My dog even has one haha!!

Will you take any leave of work to get Christmas shopping done?
No, I'm in college so I'll fit shopping in around that and anything I don't have time to get I'll have to cheat and buy online!

Any christmas rituals in your house?
    I'm presuming this is traditions?
Still throw my letter up the chimney to santa every year. Early in the year my mam and I buy a movie that we're dying to watch and hide it until Christmas eve.
We exchange one gift on Christmas eve. It's always festive pjs and a dressing gown!
We make a ginger bread house every year, We're planning to do a Doctor who Tardis one this year!
And of course midnight mass on Christmas eve!

    Full tack in our house!

Have you started your shopping yet? If not, when do you expect to?
I started my shopping at the end of September!

Would you ever spend Christmas abroad?
OH NOO!! That would be my worst nightmare.

If you could erase one Christmas song from existence, what would it be?
Mariah Carey-All I want for Christmas is you! Drives me insane!!!!

When do you really start to feel Christmas?
November 1st! Once Halloween is out of the way the celebrations can commence haha!

    Sprouts- yuck or yum?

Do you rise early on Christmas Day or snuggle in for a while?

Do you have any Childhood memories of Christmas that stand out?

I've been all over the place this week!

Sorry for the late questions but I have asked on every KYE thread so far so yours shall be no different! :)

Absolute favourite thing about Christmas? People? Food? Weather? etc.

Is there anything you would change about Christmas? Why?

Have you many visitors for Christmas generally or are you the one that visits?

What's your general Christmas Eve/Day consist of.

Describe it in as much/little detail as you like.

Again sorry for such late questions!

    Cheers!
