    He's recovering from a broken rib. Played against West Bromwich and couldn't handle the physicality while recovering. My guess is he's not 100% yet.

    Might be taken out of the team to give him a chance to recover fully from the rib injury and maybe also a chance to bulk up a bit so he can handle the physical side of the PL.

    Any word on Rafael? He wasn't mentioned as an injury in the press conference Friday, I love him but I am afraid he is just never going to be able to be relied upon for the long term.

    Not very confident after seeing some of the names, looking forward to it anyway though, makes a nice change from dreading games last year!

    Think Van Gaal said Rafael was injured in training so Valencia has come in to right back.

    It's like he forgets the basic functions of a footballer when he's been out for a while. There's the excuse of lack of match fitness for some things but not for a lot of the problems he does have.
