I thought we were average enough.

Our tactics were poor and we got out of jail, although to be fair we did create chances in first half to take the lead.

We created very little though in 2nd half. We were not great. DDG was United MOM for me with couple of great saves.

Tbf while Chelsea were missing Costa and Remy we were missing Rooney, Herrera Jones,Evans and Falcao.

Its not as if we had a great selection to choose from.

In saying few negatives its nice to see us get a break at end.

Some compliments for Jan...I thought he was poor again. He has such a lack of pace and acceleration and doesn't look comfortable against defenders.

Every time the ball came to him he slowed the play down. Sure he made a good run or two and had one or two good passes. But he had ALOT of possession and didn't really do anything for me.

Surprised that a 19yr old with his frame isn't lightning fast.

I'd be concerned playing him on the wings. I wonder if this 4-4-2 is temporary while we wait for Rooney and Falcao.

Can't get over how well our midfield did today. There was years I'd be freaked going up against a Chelsea midfield but Blind and Fellaini did so well today

Im very very happy with the performance, we're getting better and better. Iv always been a big critic of Fell but he was superb today. If he keeps this up, I might just change my mind about him.

I cant really pick out any player that let us down big today, ya know. Yes Di Maria was poor by his high standards but still put in a good shift.

Shaw had a great game too.

    What a result.

We looked like Manchester United again.

It's no coincidence that the first time Louis Van Gaal gets to implement his favourite 4-3-3 with traditional wingers, we look like a proper team.

In the World Cup, Holland set up with a sitting midfielder, a box to box mid, and an attacking mid, today Blind, Fellaini, and Mata occupied those roles. Blind was great again, Mata was better but could do more, but Fellaini was our best player in my opinion. That is how we need to utilise him. With Herrera and Rooney to come back in to looks good for us.

Januzaj and RVP looked much better because they are finally playing in roles that suit them. All of RVP's success in his career has come at the point of a 4-3-3. Januzaj looks a natural winger and gave Chelsea some headaches, if Di Maria can improve on today we look good there too, with Falcao to come back in and rotate with RVP.

I hope that is how we play going forward. We play like that next week and we can beat City, and if we play like that every week we will finish comfortably in the top 4.

That Chelsea side are the best in the league, Courtois is an absolute beast. We were a bit lucky at times but we gave as good as we got. Have to kick on now.

Delighted with performance firstly and result comes a close second. So many positives to take from it. Thrilled for Fellaini who put in a great shift, Shaw i thought was excellent also.

Like looking at utd from years ago

It is quite farcical tbh but wouldn't expect anything less than Neville with his ott attempts to remain impartial. DDG was just as good if not better than Courtois today.

United had by far the better chances.

I think they both had the same amount of saves to make but DDG didnt have to work too hard for them as 2 were long range hit and hopes and the other 2 were hit straight at him.

That being said, Courtois did just spoon the ball straight into the worst possible place

    Man Utd Facebook @MUFC_Facebook
Analysis = Di Maria was so good that he was bad, van Persie so bad that he was good

    :pac:

Happy days, now on to City. Reckon we'll get hammered, again..

Robins goal seems to have upset a lot of people, even better.

Thought Mata was very good while he was on. Fellaini was good as well. Shaw had a good second half especially.

Januzaj was better than the last night but still takes the wrong option nearly every time. Has a habit of delaying simple passes a crucial half second while seemingly trying to decide if he can go himself a lot that if he could cut out would make a big difference but has a level of greediness that hinders him a lot.

Million dollar question, who should start next week against City, assuming we get back Rooney and Falcao.

Rooney and Falcao. Rooney at 10 and Falcao up top.

    Rooney instead of Mata probably.

Rooney since he's captain. Problem is there is no way to fit rooney, falcao and RVP in the same team and i'm sure they'd all be upset to not feature in the starting 11. Tough times

Falcao might not be fit so i'd go with RVP up top and Rooney to replace Mata, as his extra physicality will be of more benefit against City. I also would say Young or Valencia will replace Januzaj.

Surprised to see people faffing over the result. Didn't you draw with Chelsea last season too?

Huh? How is there no way to fit them all in?

well i guess u could put rooney in the hole but I personally don't want to see that happen. It would be an awful waste and shame to see mata on the bench. In the next 2 windows i think i major striker will leave and i'm hoping it will be rvp so another striker like wilson who i thought looked pretty good today will step up.

Funnily enough probably one of our best performances last season too. Should have beat them off the pitch. But you don't judge results based on previous seasons. It was vital today that they didn't extend their lead over us.

Who's faffing? Think most people are happy to take the point.

Yeah, especially when you're losing. Tbh I didn't think we'd take anything today

Ugh, man. Have a **** and come back to us.
We just got an immense point, the biggest result, alongside the best performance in the last 18 months.

Nobody is faffing over the result, what's annoying me is the continuous posts from rival fans discrediting our performance and just blaming the ref. The ref actually let the game flow and had a good game overall getting most of the decisions right. One penalty decision is causing all this ****e, pure ****e talk about di maria diving. I have seen the replays it was a clear foul by ivanovich

One positive and I'm loving it is LVG belief in players like Fellaini,Jan and the younger guys.

Fair play to him for that. Today he could have totally avoided bringing on Wilson but it showed faith in the lad to bring him on in biggest game of season.
