Heard great things about the Santa in Aillwee Caves, no booking online so rang them up. 2 adults & 2 kiddies = €98 & I think there's a €2.50 booking fee. This seems very expensive to me, but maybe there's a lot to do there, has anyone been & is it worth the €98 plus?

    Hi,

we went last year - and it was fabulous (and worth the expense).

We made a full day of it, enjoy the bird show, the bus trip, the lights...
The restaurant was very reasonable and had nice easy food.
When you get there there is a little welcome gift for each child.
Free face painting, rides (saucers and 2 merry go rounds) that you
    just queued for and enjoyed.
A Jack Frost character was going around and being hunted by the elves.

Santa himself was wonderful and we all enjoyed the day.
(children were 8 5 and 3 at that stage).
Also bring little torches for the cave tunnels... lots of fun.

    Liz

That is a bit expensive but we've been and liked it.
Generally a nice time with moulded wine, some finger food and then of course Santa sitting in an underground tunnel (kinda made sense at the time).
