Should threads be locked after 10 pages

Lets be honest, most of the sh1te thats posted after the first 2-3 pages is just the same old boll0x rehashed.I've seen threads run to dozens of pages with nothing new being added...

So should a thread be auto locked after 10 pages.

You can see how many pages are on a thread (based on your post per page setting) before entering a thread. How about you just don't click into anything you deem to have an excessive amount of pages?

Really depends on the type of thread?... some threads are neverending.. whereas yes I would agree, some threads should be closed after some set time as arguments and no futher contributions to the actual thread happen.

What really gets on my tits is when 2 posters just keep having a go off each other. Throwing the same insults back and forth. It gets tiring listening to them and they end up taking over the entire thread. .
