    ****ing garmin wont charge. Was at 30% last night , left it for several hours and it had charged to zero. Unplugged it and tried again, left it over night and it was at 94%.

    Used it for 5 miles today and it was reporting 28%. Charged for a few hours and now its back to zero and won't charge up at all.

    Apparently this is a known issue yet one Garmin are doing **** all to fix.

    I reckon my next GPS watch will be some other brand.

    I had that. Hard reset it twice and it seems to be working again.

    Do running coaches in clubs not tell their athletes that when they're training in a recreational park that's open to the public, that they shouldn't run more than 2 or maybe 3 abreast on narrow paths? Seeing as they're adults you would imagine that they'd have the common courtesy to think of this themselves, but maybe need to be reminded by the coach now and again.
    And having races/time trails in said parks, where there are dogs, children and older people walking, is frankly, quite dangerous. Parks are for everyone equally and no one person should take precedence over another person.
    That feels better : )

    Couple things;

    People coming out of parking lots (or wherever), turning left and only looking to the right for traffic, not a care in the world for any pedestrians who might be coming up on their left. I do not like that.

    Also; ran at a fairly large 10k recently that said it was "chip timed". The only time taken by the chip was at the mat at the end, thus all times were from the gun. Ended up losing a minute from my "chip" time as a result.

    +100. I was caught out by that too last December. No starting mat. Really annoying if you're not near the front.
    What you do next time is start on the line and get in everyone's way (obviously if you belong at the front line this won't work!). You have as much right to a correct time as the people at the front (if it's advertised as 'chip timed').

    Stupid and unsafe.

    I agree and would never do it but it might stop the organisers advertising it as 'chip timed' when its not. Everyone is entitled to a proper time from front to back.

    I really don't think batches of posts should be deleted in the interests of some imaginary 'harmony'. Especially in this thread, of all places. Publish and be damned!
