Really shocked Spain are first out. But watching their game, they just didn't seem to know how to finish their chances (or play with a striker at all).

Makes the WC more interesting though....

Really don't think Costa should have been starting for them. Kinda surprised Iker was kept on as well, though I guess with De Gea injured it was him or Reina.

Fairly happy to be completely wrong about Spain. Will be great to have new winners. They were a great team but just wait for the over dramatic praise of how this is the end, one of the greatest sides ever etc. They had one ****er of a tournament in their last 4. Not bad.

It'll be the last hurrah for some of the team I'd imagine, but I can't see Spain falling by the wayside altogether.

Now with Spain gone from the World Cup, hopefully England will follow suit

Germany to win for me. Dont think Spain will do it again while Brazil werent very impressive tonight. Think Argentina are the only other real option.

    Also, fuck Fabregas.

    One for one.

Did a 72 hour week last week and just got my pay slip. Nearly €200 on tax means there is very little difference between 60 hours and 72. :(

There was a bit about it on Matt Cooper last night. Pretty much saying that the tax system is not flexible enough for anyone trying to make a bit more money legally.
It really is no wonder that people try to get cash in hand work.

Never do over time myself. Not worth it after tax

I don't use Facebook and never had a profile

Am I the only "Outsider", here?

I had a Facebook profile years ago. Only reason it's still "active" is it's my only link to someone I would rather keep a link of contact to for the future...

I have it mainly to see how the morons I've come in touch with aren't dead yet.
Oh and to put up and save photos because I can't be arsed to keep them on my already slow laptop.

    We have Dropbox for Photos

Not sure about the Morons, I guess I don't care enough about them to bother seeing what they are at.

    C'mon Uruguay

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,996 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

God, I feel dirty cheering the Suarez goal. But have my biggest bet on the WC yet on Uruguay or draw, so yeah!

Atta boy Luis Suarez, score another 1 and send England home

The irony of being a Man United supporter cheering a Liverpool striker scoring a goal.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,996 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

    Go Suarez! You're brillia....

Would it be fair to say that Uruguay are the Heath Slater of the World Cup?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

Colombia & Uruguay won, now just need Japan to win :D

Wonder if Hodgson will be brave enough to change things for the Costa Rica game. I can see Italy getting 9 points so England could scrape through yet, but their back 4 and Gerrard have all been very poor in both games.

It's funny though, England went to this World Cup hoping to play like Liverpool but have ended up looking more like last season's United with a non existent midfield and an attack having to come deep just to get the ball.

Might be biased, but I have no idea why Wilshere didnt start.
