Yup pizza place opened up there during last semester. Would recommend it, really nice pizza in my opinion anyway.
Tried it last week, good deals and nice pizza. Recommend it as well. Don't know if it will be closed for the summer though for us poor souls working on dissertations.

It has the typical lay out of a coop report. Just get it done and submitted, I've only heard of people not passing coop due to not submitting a report. Never heard of someone failing due to a poor report.

High change that nobody would read your report.

Its possible to fail if you dont complete the hours or dont turn up for work or not submit a report.

The report is a load of repetitive bull**** that you submit and once you submit it you'll pass. Not a thing to even worry about really.

Besides even if the coop office are giving you a hard time regarding the report, a quick word with some lecture will help solve the problem.

I handed mine in late (was in 4th year) and may have had to pay a fine. Although my placement was close by, I really disliked my boss and didn't want to approach him for a signature so I faked the signature myself. 3/4 of the report was copied and pasted by the guy who was in the year before me. Report was accepted.

I'm not advocating being as careless as I was, but it just shows that very little, if anything, is done once you hand it in. That was 2008, so things may have changed since then.

For my Coop report. I copied and paste all the information of a similar type of company onto word. The company I worked for didn't have a website. I then replaced the name of the other company with the company I worked with throughout the script. Printed off the script, bound it and handed in :D

Does anyone know when the repeats are usually on? I'm planning to go to England at the start of August and don't want to have cancel it.

Despite saying that the grant application is based on the previous year's income, am I right in saying that SUSI won't pay you anything if you're on co-op in the coming academic year? Their application is making no sense right now

No I am on co op and it all worked as normal. That being said I came in the year before SUSI, so our county council still pays me.

Does anyone know when county councils will send out grant renewal forms?

Some time in June usually as far as I know, and you'll normally need to have it submitted by around July 20th or whatever the nearest Friday is to that date.

Asked SUSI about renewals for people on co-op, and I got this response, despite the deadline being only a couple of days away.
The issue surrounding paid placement is currently being reviewed and updated.

Thus, I cannot answer your queries at the moment.

Once this information has been confirmed it will be available to applicants.

Nice to see they haven't lost their incompetence.

This doesnt affect those of us with a county council grant right... cause living expenses are high enough that ive only saved enough for accomodation... if i had to pay fee's and got no support throughout the year id be screwed
