So If I answered every single question and at least put down an attempt for everything should I pass?

Or is passing on attempt marks a myth? :(

No, if you get enough of them, it's certainly possible.

It depends on good your attempts were ... just putting down something for the sake of putting down something won't pass you, like! :p:D

It was 120. People made the mistake of thinking it was 180 degrees split into 3 equal ways (hence the 60). But the blades went around in a full circle, so it was 360/3 giving 120 each.

    i did the same :)

Yeah, i just realised now that i wrote 20 instead of 120 in that response! oops! but yeah i can see why they put that to be honest!

I was so happy with paper 2, after making a mess of paper 1.
I was so worried I'd fail!

I seem to have gotten most of paper 2 right , but I'd say I only got like 20% in paper 1.

Is there any chance I could get a c3 or what is the max grade I could get?

    Thanks :)

If you attempted most the questions you will get alot of marks for the attempt if they make sense but if not you'd want to be getting at least 80% in paper 2 for a C3:)

Need some hope or reassurance. Literally want to curl up in a ball and cry after that maths paper 2. Paper 1 was grand. Left a lot of blanks on paper 2. If i wont get a C3 I can say goodbye to my course. Can somebody tell me how much do I need to get in paper 2 to get a C3?? As in how much out of 300

    165 marks is a C3. You'd need 330 marks between both paper 1 and paper 2 to get a C3.

Paper went amazing, but did anyone think the tax question which went like "Give one reason why not all properties were registered." is not a maths question?
    STADEdeLUC wrote: »
I just said some people may be against the charge and therefore wont pay it
Yeah I just said because some people didn't bother registering, had no relevance

I said that there mightn't be anyone living in them.

I'd say they'll accept anything really.. weird question.

Any other maths teachers on here that feel that this question is a ridiculous one to have on a maths paper?

I know the department are thinking of bringing in a Politics subject at LC level, but don't introduce it via maths papers.

Almost any answer is justifiable and they will probably allocate huge marks to that question if they want to raise grades. Ridiculous.
