Maybe but not the first time journalists have got things wrong is it? I find it hard to believe that if we have bid 25m and the player wants to go to Liverpool that Southampton are stalling. Surely no one will pay more than that.

Bournemouth have a 25% sell on clause. So Southampton would recieve about 18-19m for Lallana. I think they will want more.

Lambert was pictured at a Liverpool hospital earlier.

Random thought, is there always a hospital portion & a "melwood portion" for the medical. If not I wonder how the ones done in a hospital differ? The pictures released always look fake & posed. It's always zaf with a stethescope on the players chest, or generic checking out of the players knee shot.

I think Southampton are holding out until after the WC. As if lallana has a blinder they can demand more deniros

I don't think any club he actually wants to go to will pay more than that so Southampton are taking a large risk not accepting. If they wait until after the world cup to seek a better offer and don't get one we should drop our offer to £20m. The opposite of what Everton did to United with Fellani last year.

The only problem with this strategy is the Liebherr family (huge German equipment manufactures, think Liebherr cranes and excavators etc) own Southampton and they have very deep pockets, they won't be pushed around for the sake of a few million quid.

Just goes to show how many top class players they have. They can't bring them all. Surprised Torres made it. He's so rubbish lately he'll probably miss Brazil and land in Argentina.

Would be amazed if they get a better offer than 25M. Can't see anyone offering more than that.

How dare any club get in the way of what Liverpool want.
Southampton are simply trying to get every last pound for their player, something I assume you'd like Liverpool to do if the shoe was on the other foot.
They're not in financial danger so worst case scenario, they have Lallana remain at the club next season.

They're simply playing hardball, as they should do imo

Must be someone spoofing on Twitter then because Lambert went to the Spire for his medical.

There might be staged pics taken at melwood later, but the actual medical was at the Spire. Was pics up earlier today of Lambert going into the Spire.

That was 9am or so, Melwood at 11.30 I heard to complete the medical and presumably lean on things. If he can't lean properly it'll be off.
