Madrid selling do Maria if ever a lad was made to play in our team it's di Maria
Would fit like a glove our pace would be frightening

We should be all over Di Maria, if he's Available.

He's the Reason why I watch Real (Sorry Xabi).

I've been a Huge Fan of him, because of the Donkey Work he does each Game.

I like Players that always puts in a Shift. Even moreso, if they come with the Quality and the Pace of a Di Maria. Since you Rarely see both of those, in the same Package.

And that's not all. He's even more Impressive this Season. Seeing how he Transitioned so seamlessly to Midfield, was just Remarkable.

Would really love to have him here.

Why would they want rid? He's been one of their most consistant players. Is there a big name en route?

Marca apparently saying that we're very close to Moreno, and that both sides believe it will be sorted quickly. There are also reports we're leading the race for Markovic but that he's practically co-owned by Chelsea, which sounds wrong to me given the FA's rules on co-ownership.

    Yup, I'm Surprised too.

But it came from the Horse's Mouth, so...
Di Maria admits he could leave Madrid

"I am very happy," he said. "I had a great year and the fans recognised that, I always had their support. Although you want to stay, sometimes you cannot because the club wants another player, or to make more signings, and needs to sell. And somebody must go. But I am very happy."

    More here: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/311527.html

It's time for Ayre, to make us Dream. :D

"Many things were said, sometimes you think a lot and it hurts you when you are trying to always do your best for a club and then it comes out that you might be going to Tottenham," Di Maria told Marca.

Must be like a prison sentence for any footballer :D

There should always be room for a little romance in such a dismal cynical industry.

I've been thinking more and more about Lambert, and the more I like it.

I mentioned last night, that his experience counts for alot. He'll settle right in and is adaptive to different styles of play, passing, point man, finisher, does dirty work. We were missing a player last season who could get in the mix with a packed defense. Also, would give a crossing option, as he will get more on the end of a header than Suarez or Sturridge.

The next look I took was at other forwards at other EPL teams who may be available

Ba - 8 mil - terrible record since moving to CFC.
Torres - ? - too many bad feelings for the club and fans I would say.
Bony - wants to be a first team regular....and deserves it.
Bendner from Arsenal - no thanks.
Cisse from Newcatle - really gone off the boil
Lamela - Think he would be great, but massive funding.
    .....

This list goes on, and Ricki looks like the best option.

Put it this way, we won't get a striker as good as him for 4/5m. He is a no risk option who will he happy to sit on the bench every week bar cup games. Nobody will fight harder for that shirt either.

    "Tottenham Hotspur! Who are they??"

Now, that's a signing I could get behind.

I honestly think Kevin Nolan is one of the most underrated players around. Probably past his best now, but always though he was a very good player.

For 4 Mil , that is a great deal , will be an excellent squad player for CL games also .

Loic Remy is the obvious one but he'd cost twice as much in both fee and wages, he'd also be "high maintenance" throwing his toys about the place if he wasn't starting 1 game in 2 (all comps).

Forgot about him, but he would be one that would want to be the first name on the team sheet, whereas the combo of Suarez and Studge have that locked down.

Pretty incredible that just 32 years ago Rickie Lambert was a baby and now he's signing for Liverpool, what a story!

I wouldn't touch Nolan at this stage, maybe 3 years ago?
In his position, we need far more quality than he has...

A lot's been said about his rise to fame, and how a few years ago he was playing lower-league football. But look at Raheem Sterling. When Rickie Lambert was earning a wage slinging beetroots, he was only learning his times tables and playing with Power Rangers!

In fairness to Sterling, he's way ahead of his time.

His kid is a testament to that :pac:

Raheem Sterling was like a man who awoke too early in the darkness, while the others were all still asleep

If we were signing Christopher Lambert, I'd hate to be the scout that had to headhunt him.

Cause there can be only one.

    I regret this...
