Though Sakho hasn't had much to do, he has been quite assured as the game has gone on. I think he might just get more assured the more he plays. One of those who benefits from playing regularly.

I think hell be a regular starter next season. Looking forward to seeing him get a run of games.

His 1st season was always going to be tough. I'm sure he will go on to be a top class player for us.

    Is that 32m a year?

If so thats a serious increase in revenue from next season. Vauxhall, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Garuda... guts of 50m a year there without including the CL money and increase in PL money... !!

I really like the black training kits.

As an Englishman, would you start Gerrard in the World Cup or not?

Ah now! He's the captain. Well England is not Liverpool and Hodgsons approach will clearly not be as freewheeling as Rodgers can be so I'd say yes. With Hendo and Lallana as his runners.

its mad the prices English clubs are looking for. I think we should look abroad at players with Buy out clauses like Konoplyanka 12.5m & Can 10m.Then see what we have lefteover & go from there.

Do people really think Wenger is going to pay £15m for a back-up goalkeeper? PM me for some magic beans if so.

If Marshall and Luiz are going for a combined £65 million we should be able to fetch at least £140 million for Reina, Assaidi and Aspas.

    And if Real want Suarez...

Decent enough article on Suarez alright, but at the same time I think he really over-dramatises the violent side. Suarez has insane reactions, but neither bite was anywhere near as violent/damaging as, say, the much more normal act of throwing a punch. More than violence and aggression, I think his actions are much closer to incredible frustration, which we saw again in his breakdown into tears against Palace.

His bites kind of remind me a bit (to a lesser extent) of Zidanes headbutt. He could have gone for Matterazi's head, but he held back, hitting his chest instead. An insane act, but a release of frustration, more than a single minded violent attempt to harm.

Also, the author talks about the story with his wife as if its a revelation, but the tale of how he met her and fell in love, and did everything to get a European club to take him on so he can follow her, is a story that's been told many times before and is pretty common knowledge.

I agree given those inflated prices we should have waited till this summer to sell Shelvey.

I believe the rumour came from a fake twitter account so no point really discussing something that isn't a possibility, it would be like discussing thepossiblity of signing the whole Bayern squad or something

The only one i've seen mention Fabergas was a possibley fake NBC sports account which was retweet by Moley. Moley then tweeted that he'd been told it was a faker?

    Ah Jesus!

In slightly better news on the front page of the Mirror tomorrow, some internet troll is threatening to publish naked pics of some of the Eng team.

Rooney's PIC on the front of the paper for some reason!

Just seen it on sky news!

No matter how you look at it, that's SUCH a good deal by Hogan and Ayre. Not replacing old revenue with new, this is BRAND NEW. 16m a year would probably pay for the bulk of the acadamy costs. Aside from the improvements on the pitch, we are playing a stormer at the commercial end...
