We should nip in ahead of them, then loan him back to Southampton.

Pochettino looks like he is advanced talks with Spurs.

    BBC can't link right now.

    Southampton fire sale ahead.

Their ownership is a mess, as far as I know, as well. Could be a very ****ty time to be a Southampton fan over the next few years.

Pity. They've been an excellent addition to the league since they got promoted.

I suspect Spurs will be in for every Southampton player this summer at some point. Unfortunately for them, we have the lure of Champions League football.

Bit of a shame for Southampton really, if they gave him 30m from the Shaw sale and held onto the rest, and then re-invested that 30m in the team there's no reason they could'nt push on for a european spot next season.

Sounds like a lack of ambition is the main reason for him going to Spurs.

The writing has been on the cards for Southampton since the owner died sadly. The daughter doesn't want anything to do with football and Pochettino knows this.

She can get probably close to £100m from player sales and then sell the club off making herself a nice sum.

Lovern would be my prefered target at the club from the first team.

I'd be surprised if Spurs spent big this summer unless they offload a few players.

Actually they need a manager first!

A new manager will probably want to bring in a few players I guess. If its Pochettino, then he may well try and bring in players he knows from Southampton. I have a feeling there will be plenty of players leaving Spurs in the summer.

... probably goign to Southampton in exchange deals...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

That would be madness bringing in Balotelli, we have a settled squad why risk that for him? If he was the next Messi then it might be worth a chance but he simply is'nt all that good.

    Balotelli is an unbelievable player!!

Currently watching the U-20 Game between England and Brazil.

I'm not really sure, since I didn't see the Full Line-up as well as the Subs. But I don't think there's a Liverpool Player, in the England Squad. Which is Disappointing.

As a football fan, I do feel sorry for Southampton I must say. Sad when a team with a core of very good players gets ripped out and has to start over.

In saying that, just make sure to get Lovern now if we have to sign a player from them.

If Doria is playing, how is he getting on, Raif?

The next big thing from Brazil from a defensive standpoint.

Doria? I think he got a Yellow Card for a High Boot.

Can't say much about him or Brazil's Defense for that matter. It's rarely been Tested.

Brazil's Frontmen and Midfield are Pressing so Hard. That most of time, leaves England to either Pass Back or make a Hopeful Punt up front.

Aside from Redmond's Long-range Effort, England doesn't have any other Shot on Target.

I guess I was Wrong. England U-20 does indeed have a Liverpool Player.

Brad Smith just came on as a Sub. But isn't he Australian?

Only in the way John Barnes and Raheen Sterling are Jamaican

Coutinhos shooting really is pretty attrocious by and large, can be worked on though.

Definitely needs to work on his shooting. He drags far too many shots wide. Could take his game to the next level if he improved that.

That said he did score in both games against Man City during the season.

There's no doubt that Coutinho can't shoot for toffee, but those stats only paint one side of the story. Considering that one of his own team mates took a pop at him, that should tell you all you need to know about Ozil's bottle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,404 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

If he improved his decision making about when he shot it wouldn't be as bad. He shoots from some ridiculous positions...still drags too many shots though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,043 ✭✭✭brevity

    Ozil - 42M
    Mata - 37M
    Silva - 30M
    Oscar - 25M
    Coutinho - 8.5M

    Not bad all things considered.

bad timing as I've just watched the LFC AFC game on LFC TV so I'm finding it really hard to be critical if Coutinho right now.

    that ball to Sturridge ..wow

I think the slightly deeper role in the midfield diamond really suited coutinho, sterling fitted in lovely as the most advanced midfielder too.

The guy is just turned 21, and composure comes with age with most players. I think the chance of making the world cup squad might have played on his mind this year and he ended up trying too hard. Whatever about his shooting and assists, I love the fact he is always looking to collect the ball from the deeper midfielders and start an attack at every opportunity. He is always moving into space to receive a pass, it is a pet hate of mine to see players call for a ball that they have no chance of receiving.
