    Messi and Ronaldo say hi.

That's nice of them. What have they got to do with things though? He didn't say any club wouldn't turn down that offer for any player, he said the club, as in Liverpool, and unless something has changed, we don't own Messi or Ronaldo.

I think Real winning the CL this season though makes it a little less likely they will go all out for Suarez. Hopefully anyhow.

I think with the way things have gone fans of those clubs expect a huge signing every summer no matter what the club wins. Look at Barcelona who have dominated football for the past few years but have wasted huge sums on Sanchez, Ibrahimovic and Fabregas just to have that summer signing.

Clyne from Southampton seems to be this weeks rumour.

I don't know what planet he is worth 15m on. There has to be better value on the continent, we have CL football to offer for christ sake.

It turns out Southampton will get to play in the Champions League via the loophole of signing for Liverpool.

Sinilar enough fee to that mentioned for Moreno of Sevilla.

Wolves want Conor Coady - but the price range mentioned may not be enough - £500,000 to £750,000. I'd say Liverpool will hope for a bidding war between Sheffield Utd and Wolves.

Tom Ince is in Milan to sign for Inter

It'd be an exciting signing, but i'd lean towards nay.

I think he needs to be the star of the show, the centre-piece to really shine. And he wouldn't be at Liverpool as Suarez is better and Sturridge is arguably as good/better too.

Balotelli believes he is as good as anyone in the world. I´m not sure if we need an ego like that

Also it would be an expensive signing for an area we maybe don't need really strong reinforcement in

The manager who can tame Balotelli and get him focused will have a world class talent on his hands.
Mourinho and Mancini couldn't maybe Rodgers or even Peters could.

We already have a world class striker in Suarez

We have another in Sturridge who has been one of the best in Europe in the last couple of seasons (better scoring rate than Diego Costa this season).

You can never have enough world class talent, but I think Balotelli would be far too big a risk (financially, and in terms of the baggage he brings)

Can't believe anyone is giving this the time of day. Its some stupid makkey uppey story designed to generate clicks.

One of the last players I'd like to see in a LFC Jersey tbh...

I agree I don't think I would want him either, I'm just saying there is a huge talent there if he can be controlled and nurtured properly. Rodgers and Peters has done an exceptional job with nurturing the young players and a certain Raheem Sterling who's Anfield day's were looking numbered for a while.

I would prefer if we moved for Remy to be honest, wheeler dealer Harry said he has a release clause for not much more than they bought him, he cost around 8m I think.

That would give us Suarez, Sturridge, Borini and Remy has striking options next season, a very very respectable strike force.

Up front is certainly the least of our worries, although if we could get another wing forward great.

With the 3 outgoings to West Ham, and 3 potential incomings from Southampton, do we become South West? Or will that be Kanye's second kid?

I'd imagine Brendan will have enough to be worried about next season, without trying to tame balotelli as well!

That would be madness bringing in Balotelli, we have a settled squad why risk that for him? If he was the next Messi then it might be worth a chance but he simply is'nt all that good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

Baloteli. Imagine it. 4.45am on a monday morning, naked, trying to share a bottle of scrumpy with Shankley's statue, getting coppers in a headlock.

    I'm not against it...

In fairness you have that type of player attitude covered with Suarez although he has improved this season gone as opposed to previous seasons.
Big ask for Rodgers to expect him to settle down Balotelli aswell.

What does any player have to do with anything when Suarez is the only player at the club that can fetch us anything near the 100M mark? I was talking purely hypothetical.

Agree with the latter, though I was confident he was always going to stay either way. Selling Benzema might change that however.
