Seriously though, that squad would have potential to be dark horses if it wasn't for Woy being in charge.

As an England fan... I'm hoping Coles exclusion might be an indication of his intent for the tournament. I'm hoping against hope I know but he has a good squad with a lot of bang in form players, I'm desperately hoping he just lets them play.

    Absolutely!

I'd have them as semifinalist possibilities if not for him

He needs to pick the right players. Judging by the friendly against Denmark, Lallana and Welbeck should be starting over Wilshere and Rooney, but I don't think Hodgson has the stones to make those changes.

Henderson, Gerrard and Lallana as the midfield 3 with Sterling, Sturridge and Rooney as the front 3. Anything else is ridiculous on his part.

Judging by the Denmark game Rooney doesn't mesh with Sturridge and Sterling. Once he was subbed for Welbeck the front 3 became infinitely more threatening, and would have racked up a few goals in quick succession if it wasn't for Welbeck's donkeyness in front of goal. But in the long term I strongly believe Welbeck over Rooney will bear significant fruit.

Emer Can seems to be the JonJo Shelvey of the Bundesliga

bags of talent but not the right attitude/application.

on his day he is the best at what he does but those days are not consistent enough.

The way I see it is if sell Lucas for a similar fee then it's a trade in well worth the risk.

    Almeria and Granada are Safe.

The Former got a Draw with Bilbao, while the Latter got a Win over Valladolid.

Suso didn't Play due to being Suspended for his Red Card on his Last Game.

Ilori had an OK Game. He is Good with Clearances or Racing with Attackers. But he definitely needs to Bulk Up and work on his Physicality.

I think the heat will kill them. Mistakes will be made in it.

For those who still harboured hopes of signing him, Honigstein has said there Javi Martinez will be staying at Bayern.

I thought Ilori was very good & Granada's stand out defender in the game , made lots of excellent blocks especially in the first half when the game was still 0-0 . Looks like he could be a cracking player for us, his pace will be a real asset .

At least we can take comfort in the fact that it is one Bayern player that Utd won't be signing this window. :P

It's ok, they don't need a right back anyway.

We will have a squad of Bolts with Ilori, Sterling, Sturridge, Ibe, Smith, Enrique and possibly Sanchez or Shaqiri. Zoom Zoom.

He's Good when Defending on the Ground. But he's Unconvincing in the Air.

Not to mention, he got easily Pinned by Manucho. And Manucho is not even in the Level of the Bentekes, the Lukakus of the EPL.

I can honestly say BR will love having lots of pace in the side . With the way LFC play you need lots of pace to win the ball back very very quickly .

Our attack is already pretty damn quick. Can you imagine throwing Sanchez in there? It really would be scary **** for other teams!!

Sanchez really would be a no brainer for the reported fee, I really doubt it is accurate though

Our signings this summer will be vital as to whether we can compete now that we have the burden of euro competition that we sneakily avoided in our bid to win the league and we would have got away with it too if it wasn't for city and their pesky superior squad.
The number one trait that the scouts and The Big Rod should be looking for in targets is their ability to lean.
This should be the yardstick they should be working from as the team needs to move on from leaning agaisnt stuff.

Seeing as we are looking to Buy Moreno from Sevilla. I also hope that we Buy Jairo and then Loan him back to them.

Always Impresses me, whenever I see him. Only 20 yo. Can Cross and Shoot with both Feet. Can play as both RW or LW. And he's got Electric Pace.

Here are some Clips of him:

I have a feeling, he'll have a Breakout come Next Season. So we better Buy him now, when he's still Cheap.

When Kicker speaks, thou shall listen. They're reporting that we remain interested in Son, Rodgers watched him during Leverkusen's match in Hamburg. A deal for Can is edging closer too.

Also disappointingly, my number one choice for CB from the Eredivisie, De Vrij who has been linked with us in the past looks set for ugh, Lazio.

Not according to the locals, 1 oclock kick offs in the northern games are "inhumane"

So then - James Milner (its tenuous) the Times say he is looking to exit and Arsenal/Liverpool are both name checked but Arsenal get the headline mention (but that could be cos they had bus ride around Islington this afternoon)

    Raphael Honigstein ‏@honigstein 9m

Very reliable @kluettermann reports that Leverkusen expect Can to go to Liverpool

He would be a fantastic addition, such an under rated player
