Anyone have the link to that video with all our league goals?

Has it been updated with the last few games?

Bloody Hell, even Emiliano Insua has now got a League medal.

We defo should have been patient with him.

In relation to Can, he also fits the mould of being able to play a few different positions, particular around midfield, and can also slot in at left full.

I haven't seen enough of him to know if he's any use, but the game against Utd this year springs to mind where he stood out.....he also ticks the box of a young player with Champions League experience.

Of the 3 midfielders/attacking players mentioned, Lallana, Can and Shaqiri
all have versatility about them. Whilst it would be great to try and go like City and have 2 players for each position, Liverpool can't afford such a luxury.
Having players that are comfortable in more than 1 position gives greater flexibility in team selection and rotation. It also allows Rodgers to change and tinker formations in-game

He's 26, couldn't hack it at Soton and went back to Norway. Tells us all we need to know I think.

I wasn't for a second saying we should be in for him. He just popped into my head while thinking of defenders at Southampton, he was very highly regarded before they signed him, strange to see that he didn't even manage a single league appearance.

We defo should have been patient with him.

Hes often not even in match day squads and has rarely played for atleti since he moved there but yeah i would agree we should have held onto him longer.

Yep, the agreement is that he doesn't play against either side only the other 18 teams. Sounds like a winner!

Just heard an advert for that wanker who scribbles for the Sunday Budgie Cage Liner (Gerrard article) - this week he tackles Aldo.

Does Aldo not write for them too? He used to anyways.

    Aldo's articles were brutal too.

We defo should have been patient with him.

As a young player parachuted in to a poor performing side, he was ridiculously made a scapegoat. Had he been Local like Flanagan it might have been so different.

Roy Hodgson decided to sell Insua and replace him with Paul Konchesky. Jesus wept.

Got some terrible abuse ala lucas. was forced out by woy and purslow.

Insua was never as bad as some make out, just a wet behind the ears kid in a crap side with no cover in front of him.

    Had a deadly cross though.

To be perfectly fair though, he did only make 8 appearances this season.

He looked decent enough and worth hanging on to at the time but I still don't think he's good enough.

Ya every second weekend they swap Suarez. You heard of ground sharing, right? Now the new thing is player sharing :)

It's the reason Everton finished 5th last season.

As a motivational tool for the transfer window ahead. This picture should be hung up in Brendan Rodgers' office, with the caption "Never Again"

Is that the worst transfer window ever at Liverpool?
The one decent player he signed, he didn't have a clue what to do with him.

The Daily Star are reporting Liverpool and Arsenal as having bid £18m for Barcelonas Alexis Sanchez.

I'm not sure that would be such a good signing if its true.

If I was bored I'd rather watch all of the goals Utd conceded. That would cheer up my boredom fairly quickly!

I'm pretty sure that it would be an unbelievable signing.
Imagine Sanchez playing with some freedom like he would under Rodgers :):)

Ah sure we'll see. I'd forgotten how hipster this thread can get with Nuri Sahin having been away.

Someone has to offset your immense disdain of all things Dortmund sure, Mike ;)

edit - I should have said hidden on here immense disdain of all things Dortmund.

I think closer to 25M would be a more realistic fee for Sanchez, tbh.

Still somewhat of a bargain IMO.

Definitely. I wouldn't blink at paying 30M for him, tbh. I was surprised a couple of years ago it took so long for a top club to sign him. Watching him and Di Natale tear it up in Seria A was a lot of fun, especially his final season there where his game became much more varied given the numerous positions he was playing. He can play wide on either side, behind the striker centrally or play the false nine.

I do have a feeling Barca will try to offload Pedro instead of him though this summer if possible.
