    Yes.

I think Burnley and Wolves scored over 100 goals in the league one season. Obviously one of them didn't win it.

Ah Alaba is probably 28 million I doubt we'd go in for him though I think he'd be great.

We still have to worry about Hodgson having half our team for half the summer though!

Chin up lads, good season you just need to spend 100 million or so to challenge next year.

No European football this year made it a lot easier on your squad and UTD will be in same position next year so you will need to add some real depth to the squad to compete in Europe and challenge City and Chelsea

I reckon we need 7 players at least. All better than last summer's signings preferably

    They were in different divisions.

Well I can say about this season is WOW I would never have dreamed it at the beginning .

I can honestly say it really feels like LFC are actually building something special . The team spirit is something else . We have saw kolo punch the ground in rage at a mistake . Suarez crying after the palace loss . The team celebrating every single goal scored together .
I honestly think the manager should look to improve the defence and add a midfielder in the summer . I think the club is in good shape everywhere else .

So I can honestly say I'm proud of the effort and belief the team showed this season . With the champions league back it should make the job of sorting out the weak links in the team that much easier .

    That could be liverpools issue.

Would you bring in 3 £20+million players and have a really strong first 11 or bring in 7 players around the £10m mark to strengthen the squad for the extra fixtures and hope that they are more Sturrridge than aspas?

Sky sports saying utd bid 27 mill for shaw, poor southampton will be picked apart in the summer. Will be pissed if we dont upgrade both full backs in the summer, think shaw will be a superb signing whoever he goes to.

We need a marquee defender and midfielder. And then we need to bolster our squad. Next year is going to be taxing on our squad.

27m for Shaw isnt good for our hopes of getting Lallana for 20m.I think the Lallana transfer could go on for months.

Ya BR has said that he wants players to add to the first team and to slot in...he isn't looking for squad players. I recon he has plenty of those now with the younger players.

A fitting day for my ban to be lifted, stupidity on my part last month. I was hoping to come back on here to a big panda party, unfortunately I'm coming back as "just" champions league participants. It shows how far we have come this season that I am sorely disappointed that we only managed 2nd place :( of course though if I was offered that in August I would have snapped hand, wrist, arm and shoulder off.

As for the squad, I think it's time to cut Johnson loose. He has been absolute poison this season bar a few minutes in the first half against Palace last week, he is a drain on expenses and in no way justifies that amount of wages. Sell him now while he still has some market value as an England regular and a starter at the world cup.

Lucas is another I would be trying to sell. I was a huge fan of him before his injuries, I constantly praised him as the best DM in the league, unfortunately those days are well behind him. His legs have completely gone and the thing he did best (covering attacking fullbacks) is now not possible.

I got the feeling today that Agger was given his final appearance for the club. His rather subdued celebration after scoring only confirmed it for me. A great servant over the years but like Johnson, it's time to sell him while there is still someone willing to pay big money for him.

I am genuinely excited to see what kind of players Brendan Rodgers brings into our club this summer. Roll on August.

2 starting fullbacks, one top centre half, central midfielder(Lallana) and an attacker who can play anywhere across the front(Shaqiri) and I'll he happy.

    I'd go for 3 at £20m each over 7 at £10m.
I'd even go for one big signing at £30-35 million if there was a player out there that would be a massive addition, then £15 on another 1st teamer and then see what you're left with.

Improve the first team with new signings and let the players replaced become your squad/strength in depth

Here too. We pissed away so much money over the years on half measures. Just bring in as many top quality players as we can afford and hope the young lads/loanees flourish enough to supplement them.

absolutely the right way to do it. Much easier to integrate 3 quality signings than 7 ok signings and end up like spurs.

signings i would go for would be

    Keylor Navas - 3m
    Clyne - 8m
    Moreno - 12m or Siqueira for 6-8m
    Konoplyanka - 12.5m
    Benatia - 20m
    Moussa Sissoko - 8-12m
    Alexis Sanchez - 20m

    & sales

    Aspas - 5m
    Alberto - 3m
    Agger - 10m
    Johnson - 5m
    Assaidi - 4m
    Kelly - 3m

    leaving a squad of

    Mignolet,Navas
    Clyne,Flanagan,Wisdom,Sakho,Ilori,Skrtel,Benatia,Toure,Enrique,Moreno
    Gerrard,Lucas,Allen,Henderson,Sissokho,Coutinho,Sterling,Konoplyanka,Suso

Assuming we Keep Luis I would blow all the cash we have on some real top drawer quality in midfield.
With lori back and Sakho second season in the Premier league I do not think we are as bad at the back as everybody makes out.
We are though completely lacking options in midfield. I think it is no coincidence that our great run ended when Hendo was suspended. Lucas is not going to be more than a 60 min player again in his career and Neither Stevie or Allen will be able to play the required amount of games next season.

Two midfielders that are better/as good as what we have will be 50M and i would be pretty happy with that.

First buy should be a leader at CB. Someone who'll organize the team when we are under pressure. A Defender who isnt afraid to scream at the midfield and push them up the pitch.

After that...CM/DM who can run all day. Then concentrate on the FB slots

Keeping Suarez would be a good start.

If he stays iI'd be delighted with a new RB, central midfielder and centre back.

Bonus would be LB and another attacker.

Decent back up keeper too perhaps.

Sakho is that man. I fully expect him to be up there with Kompany this time next year as the best in the division.

Sakho needs a proper CB in beside him.

Which CB's do people see leaving the club this summer, and does everyone presume our first choice CB pairing next season will be AN Other and Sakho?

Additionally, do you feel CB or CM is a more pressing need? If we were to only buy one top-quality £30m player would you rather it be a CM or CB? Personally I think we could get through another season with just Henderson, Gerrard, Lucas and Allen as our midfielders. However we have more quantity than quality at CB.

Agger or Skrtel or maybe both.

I think that given the full preseason to work on a real partnership, him and Skrtel could be a truly dominant pairing.
