They're dubbed out on a lot of DVDs as well.

The 2002 PPV DVDs are some of the worst for dubbed out songs.

A golden age for redubbed GBA themes though.(yeah I posted it before but its great)

Will they go back to the original songs on the network?

    Doubt it.

I can't see them paying money to use Hogan's Voodoo child music and Takers "Rollin" music and there is plenty others.

Didn't Jimmy hart do most of WCWs music like nWo and Goldbergs?

I'm sure they could strike a deal with him if they really wanted to.

Both are production songs so they could if they wanted to. WWE are just cheap. Any ideas of preserving shows intact for those who know better aren't of consequence to WWE.

They've almost certainly cut or dubbed out the famous Desire songs with Creed/Kid Rock etc. That's sad. Like there's music they paid for on the live PPV and original DVD release but cheaped out on with the Anthology releases.

seeing the WM17 Rock/Austin buildup promo without My Way as the backing track makes baby jesus cry. It's one of the best promos they've ever done. Same as Summerslam 1998 with crappy production rock instead of Highway To Hell on it.

dunno if I can post this here but said I'll see if there's any interest. I'll be moving abroad in a few months so am doing a massive clearout of stuff I won't want to keep or bring with me, including well over 100 WWF/WWE dvds, anyone still collect them or will the network now render them worthless? Can post a list or pics to adverts if anyone is interested, have some pretty rare stuff in there, original versions not reissues of WWF ppvs and the like, and the big boxed set of WM20 with the photos, ticket lanyard and badges.

Fairly amusing box art for a Best of DVD given how many fans felt about the second half of the year:

Same! Really enjoying PWG at the minute. Half way through BOLA 2013, biding my time waiting for my new purchases to arrive.

We can confirm that Clearvision, UK DVD Distributor to TNA Wrestling, The UFC, Marvel and many other companies has filed for administration- Equivalent to bankruptcy protection in the US and other countries.

Musing of the major shift were hinted recently when Clearvision released a statement citing that many DVD pre-orders would be refunded. According to records, Clearvision announced to creditors their intentions of entering into administration as far back as December of 2013.

So far there has been no official word on how proceedings with creditors have gone but in a sign that things may not have gone well, Clearvision deleted most of the pages on their Official website including the dedicated TNA website located at TNADVD.co.uk

    WWE's OLD distributor too.

Haven't seen newer TNA DVD at retail in years and years.

Whether it was WWE, TNA or UFC their DVD prices were pretty ridiclous and a huge disincentive from buying them. Like a $10 more than a blockbuster film.

I remember their distribution centre was burnt down during the London riots too. Wonder if they were properly insured.

That's a bit sad. I've lots of fond memories renting Silvervision VHS tapes repeatedly when I was a kid.

SV at least had some deals on WWE DVDs whereas a DVD or Blu-ray from Freemantle now costs about 3 months worth of a sub to WWE Network.

Just about to watch Wrestlemania 2000 later on tonight. The card on the show does not look that bad.

Was the only Wrestlemania I did not get to see,so hoping for a decent event. I won't hold my breath though if the reviews I read are anything to go by and what I have read about it on here. Over 6 hours long so not sure I will get through it all tonight.

Freemantle are selling Wrestlemania DVDs and blurays at slightly reduced yet still too expensive prices. What does that tell you about their view on Network take-up in the UK. http://www.wwedvd.co.uk/wrestlemania-c-247.html

Me too.. When my local store closed down I ended up with most of their tapes. They were in brutal condition visually, probably cos I had rented each of them 20 times.

I think it's only a 4 hour event.. Definitely not 6. Although at times it feels like it ;)

It's a very unbalanced event due to the omission of 1v1 matches, and doesn't really have a 'big time' feel that WM should, but it's a good event otherwise, some great outings from the usual suspects. Not nearly as bad as 9, 11, or 27 (Haven't seen but I've heard about). Backlash 2000 felt more like what WM should have been.

I used to rent the same mid-90s WWF shows over and over myself but 1994 and 1995 Year in Review probably got rented the most. I was able to see some WCW PPVs on VHS from video shops which was cool.

It'll be weird to see WWE DVDs go the way of the dodo as they were always pretty expensive and held their value over time (aside from the last few years of PPVs). Hell, 2nd hand Silvervision DVDs are still highly priced.

True. I wonder will people actually get rid of them. At least with DVD you have ownership of some sort. If the Network isn't a success would it be scrapped? Or maybe I'm just slow to accept this technology and move on from the collection I've built, just as it was when moving from VHS to DVD. :pac:

There's not much chance of the Network being scrapped as they have put so much money in it. I've seen people here advertise their WWE DVD collection for sale cause they got the Network. Usually I'm a slow to takeup a new format but I jumped at the network though I'll be keeping all my discs cause I can rewatch them in 10 years at no additional cost but dunno if I'd still be paying for the network, the cost of which is likely to go up over time.

Damn false advertisement on the DVD :p

Thanks for the heads up on it. Did not get around to watching it that night, due to unforeseen circumstances.

Will definitely be sticking it on tonight hopefully.

So will get back to you and let you know what I thought :)

I'd like to see that Raw After Show but feck paying 30 quid for the privilege. I bought Legends of Mid South from Freemantle recently because I doubt that stuff will make it onto the network anytime soon but jeez, so expensive compared to the heyday of Silvervision. £3 delivery too.

There's a Paul Heyman documentary DVD WWE are releasing late Summer. That should be good.

Has the potential to be one of their best ever considering the scope of his career.

They've interviewed Raven for this, expect many other names to crawl out of the woodwork.

WWE are releasing an OMG2 DVD of 'shocking moments' from WCW in August. Better be good!
"Relive iconic moments such as Hulk Hogan joining the n.W.o., Magnum T.A. and Tully Blanchard's infamous "I Quit Match", the Horsemen assaulting Dusty Rhodes and dozens of others in this countdown.

Hear stories from the men who lived these moments…Tony Schiavone, Booker T, Vince Russo, Big Show, DDP, Dusty Rhodes, Kevin Nash and more."

There is apparently a Randy Savage DVD documentary in the works. That could mean he is pencilled in for their HoF next year.
