    Mad to think that Welbeck was on the pitch for the Macheda goal and that he was the one that would go onto be starting against Bayern Munich on Tuesday at OT. Kiko meanwhile is coming to the end of his contract and out on loan to a championship side.

    Love that clip, have watched it so many times over the years. Was it his brother he ran to in the crowd that day?

    You know that I disagree with most of what you say anyway and have already had this debate with you about Hernandez in the past. My reasons stand as before. For Man Utd impact-sub is the best you will get out of him.

    You disagreed that he would be a bargain at £15m. The fact that there are better strikers than him at United does not prove anything about his value.

    I knew this would stir up the debate about this guy, my past opinions still apply. If were going to go into stats;

    Explains how I feel about Hernandez

    The logic in that article is awful. They compare his 23 passes in one game to RvP's average of 27 passes per game to conclude that he makes fewer passes. Then they compare chances created over a season with no reference to how Hernandez played far fewer games.

    Most of his goals for UTD come from when he assesses the current situation and exploits potential areas where he can poach a goal when he comes of the bench and in particular so many of his goals come from a lack of concentration from the opposing defense in the final stages of a match due to a defender being fatigued.

    What evidence do you have for this assertion?

    Im watching the city game at the moment and 2 teams are just in a different world to us with this style of play. I hope some day utd will be like that.

    OT - looks like a possibly bad knee in jury for Jay Rodriguez too - shame, he's a good player...

    Said this twice already, but I have been very impressed with way Southampton play. Even against Liverpool had they converted few chances would have been different game.

    Passing is lovely and their pressing is admirable for a Mid Table team.

    If we were only half as good we be going for title. Cause we have the quality of players.

    Watching the likes of Southampton shows up Moyes more then any Liverpool or City.

    EVENFLOW

    Seems strange that Evra plays today if the plan is to play him on Weds too. Looks likely that Buttner is going to start against Bayern.

    Fabulous player. Strong and fast, great striker of the ball.

    Really? But the reason Val keeps getting picks is because of his defensive abilities? :confused::confused::confused:

    Although Buttner did come off injured against Munich.
