There is a media embargo on the Rooney injury news till 10:30pm BST.

It's all over Twitter about Rooney's injury. I'm guessing there's no smoke without fire.

Although maybe it's just a way for Moyes to rest Rooney without the media saying he's given up on the league by leaving his best players out of the team tomorrow.

Not even I would criticise Moyes for that though.

Waiting for the story to become he is "injured".

The MAnchester Evening Blues (News) had a story up earlier about him being out and then pulled it, as they broke the embargo

Big chance he'll be rested tomorrow? Along with Carrick and Rio I'd say

I know he's not been as good this year as last, but I really would hate to see yet another "Elder" go from United this summer; I see zero reason he couldn't keep a squad based status, and given how much we'll need to strengthen midfield, I don't see the sense in getting rid of the one good one we have had for a few years now. :(

As you say we cant let anymore of the senior brigade go this summer. With Ferdinand (probably), Vidic, Evra, Giggs all likely going we need some experienced heads left for next season. Carrick for all his faults is a calm presence in the team and generally comes across as a solid individual, the type of individual every team needs. Definitely another season in him

    It's true then. Dang.

If Rooney is out then Moyes is one unlucky man when you consider the injuries we ve had this year. If Kagawa doesnt get a start now it will be beyond comprehension.

Did he not get a new deal recently?

If he did them it would have only been for 1 year as he's over 30.

If Rooney is injured we really are screwed in the 2nd leg then :(

Injuries have been appalling this year, as usual for us.

SSN now reporting it,I doubt a bruised toe would keep him out of the Bayern game.

I blame Moyes, Headshots pessimism and Russia invading Crimea... in that order

It may not,but no doubt the Bayern players won't be tiptoeing around him on Wednesday.

    Badum tish :p

BBC saying he's defiantly out for tomorrow but "doubtful" for Bayern. A bit more optimistic at least.

I know I'm still harping on about the Bayern match, but the build up just before it was brilliant. I doubt much of it was caught on camera, if any.

They played commentary from past encounters with Bayern over the PA system and mixed it in with an instrumental that I know but can't remember.

The hair on my neck genuinely stood up when I heard the commentary for the Sheringham goal. The Solskjaer goal received a cheer as well, which was pretty cool.

Then there was the card-holding to create the design.

They should do it more often. It only really works with night games.

The last game that I can remember which featured the crowd holding up cards was the Barca match in '08. Have there been any since?

I think it creates a great atmosphere before the game. One that the team can feed off of. Also, it serves as a kick up the arse for the crowd and gets them in the mood to start cheering.
