    Jones and Ferdinand.

At least there'll be some comedy tonight.

    Official team line-up:

DeGea, Rafael, Rio, Jones, Evra, Carrick, Valencia, Giggs, Wellbeck, Rooney, RVP.

It's almost that mad that I can see it working :pac:

What sort of joke of a selection is that??? Matches the joke of a manager that Moyes really is, the sooner he's gone the better, what a clueless clown.

God help us if one of them is injured in the first minute as we've no defensive cover on the bench...

    Who goes CB...Carrick or Fletch!!

    Mentioned Phoenix post.

Somebody tell him he ain't United fan and to try again.

Ah right, I thought he went out in a blaze of glory for a moment there.
I'm sure he'll be back with a new name and a clean slate :)

Welbeck being in there is good I think; he would have been a better choice than Adnan on Sunday, should have been on much earlier than he was.

Christ get rid of this man so we can have our team back.

Tony seen as you've played **** all season and I haven't played you in a few games. Here's a start in the most important game of our season. I know I can count on you as you've been doing it all season for me.

After tonight what is 9 games til the end? Can't come quick enough.

It looks like somebody would have posted that line-up if they were trying to take the mickey out of him. It defies all logic.

Has Moyes some kind of amnesia, has he forgotten how bad Rio and Giggs have been this season? I really hope he proves us all wrong but I fear it may be just wishful thinking at this stage

Was always going to be a team with pace out wide Valencia and welbeck will provide that giggs will pick out the passes and I presume rooney will drop back into midfield

Lindegaard, Fellaini, Fletcher, Janujaz, Kagawa, Young, Hernandez

Well i guess Moyes wants to lose his job picking a team like that???

Is that tonights team? Good god...

Jesus. I think someone called Giggs starting to "prove" there's no rift between them.

Biggest game of the season, he starts Valencia, Rio, Giggs and Welbeck....when was the last time any of them started a game? Sorry lads, but he's obviously thrown in the towel already. That's nearly a reserve lineup in midfield.

    I'm worried!

Mother of God. Rio, Giggs & Valencia starting. A striker on the left wing.

The only positives I can take from that is that Cleverley and Young are not starting, and that it is becoming increasingly likely they there is simply no option but to sack him, no matter how stubborn the board are.

Starting Giggs after a reported bustup, I have no words

We are through the looking glass here people!

Seriously. That line up, there are no words.

No one has watched much of welbeck here this season..... Was brilliant when Rvp was out injured

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,408 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

    Moyes doesn't like Asians.

It's the only viable explanation left.

So umm... Moyes what's up with Felliani???

Team v Madrid at home last season:

    David De Gea
    Rafael Da Silva
    Nemanja Vidic
    Rio Ferdinand
    Patrice Evra
    Michael Carrick
    Tom Cleverley
    Luis Nani
    Danny Welbeck
    Ryan Giggs
    Robin van Persie

    Antonio Valencia (s 87')
    Wayne Rooney (s 73')
    Ashley Young (s 80')

Giggs and Welbeck started that night too.

This is most likely Ryan Giggs' final Champion's League appearance too. Is a Stamford Bridge 2011 performance out of the question?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,283 ✭✭✭✭BloodBath

They should play this music instead tonight. I have a feeling it's going to be apt.

I really don't understand all the venom towards people saying they wouldn't mind seeing United lose if it meant Moyes would be gone. Grand if you don't agree with it but there's a very obvious and reasonable point to be made re:short term pain for long term gain.

Seems to be a very British "stip upper lip" attitude from most of the people on here in terms of "support your team in every situation possible" even to the point of hoping for things that will ultimately be to the club's detriment for the sake of being seen to be a good fan. This is coming even from people who think Moyes is a complete disaster and is "ruining" the club.

    It's a bit weird.
