I don't think Carrick has scored a better goal than his second (IIRC) that night.

Has absolutely and categorically has not.

I remember it going in and thinking "Ahh ****e, I knew this was too good to be true. I'm going to wake up any minute now."

It's just I've asked this question before and got no reply..

To be fair, wouldn't that in itself tell you something?

Jaysus lads, tonight could likely be the last CL game we see United play for who knows how long. With all the 'Moyes out/We're shíte/That banner is a c**t' discussion going on, I sort of lost sight of that sad possibility.

Well, at least for 18 months :(

Any official team news for tonight yet?

Probably the same back 4 as Sunday, god only knows what he'll do with the rest of the team.

I would imagine if Smalling is fit then he'll play.
    DDG
    Rafael Smalling Vidic Evra
    Carrick Felliani
    Valencia Rooney Januzaj
    van Persie

It'll be something like that. I hope he starts Kagawa though. We need to keep the ball high up the pitch and cause them serious problems. The game will suit Carrick if they sit back. If Olympiacos are negative then that will suit us.

Smalling is out, along with Evans. Would bring in Young instead of Valencia and Kagawa instead of Januzai.

Don't know how any real fan can watch important games in the put these days. The amount of idiots in there and the potential of not seeing the screen is too off-putting.

Some may chuckle but i wouldn't mind seeing how Cleverley or Fletcher gets on playing with Fellaini. Carrick hasn't been playing too recently so wouldn't be too big of a miss.

I always watch them at home anyway, unless they're on BT.

Unless you go to a half decent pub where the owner gives you the back room to yourself and your friends and choice of what to put on the 2 tvs ;)

I would not mind but for a game where we need to win by 2 I think it's but too risky. Especially Cleverley who been very suspect positioning and concentration wise.

I really hope we play immense tonight like we did against Leverkusen away and hammer olympiacos

Leverkusen were a shambles defensively, like a lot of German teams are these days. We didn't play immense against them, they just couldn't defend to save their lives.

Fellaini and Carrick just seem to end up in each others way a little too much for my liking. I think a different type of midfielder would be more beneficial.

My view would that it could have been a whole lot worse. At least we'd have got a good draw against a tough team who are hard to beat.

Nobody should take you seriously any more.

Predictions for tonight lads? - Am I fcuking crazy to believe we will go through? :o

I'd say you are. 2-1 to us on the night.

Moyes is a coward if he starts Van Persie.

It's a pity you won't be in dressing room tonight. While personally I don't expect us to go through its refreshing seeing somebody confident and not willing to give up.
