Ramos' agent talks a lot, so who knows really. I only realised this the other day, and while I knew he's been around for some time, but he's much older than I realised (28 years old). So with that said, I could see us signing another striker to go with him as Schieber I reckon is off this summer too. Volland from Hoffenheim would be ideal.

I'd take Lasogga all day long before Ramos. But Ramos would fit BVBs style much better than Lasogga.

Running off into other threads to bitch and moan about something somewhere else is something I'd like to see banned but hey, just have to live with these things.

If it offends you so much, do report it then, but I'm sure you have already.

Doesn't offend me at all and I haven't reported it either. Just something I've noticed happening quite regularly recently, not just yourself BTW.

I just think it's a bit cowardly when someone has the opportunity to reply to a post but goes off somewhere else where it might not be seen to air their grievances.
    Pet hate.

Of course, of course. Thanks for coming into a thread you've shown no interest in the slightest before to tell me your pet hate. Appreciate it. As for the rest of your post, I'd reply, but I wouldn't want you to get the wrong idea.

I read this thread quite a lot. There's many threads on here I read but rarely post in.

If you're doubting it's a pet hate of mine...

Off to see FCK vs Köln tomorrow. Was at the game last season and hope they can repeat the 3-0 performance.

We have had a bad patch over the last month - losing three on the trot while Köln have had some jammy wins (seriously scoring two goals in the last 5 minutes of the game, not once but twice is unreal).

If FCK want to have any chance to make the playoffs then they have to take three points tomorrow.

Starting to feel that Runjaic is a little out of his depth. Still feel that Foda was doing ok before he left.

    Well..that was a snoozefest :(

Can I ask for Schalke to be banned from the CL for the foreseeable future?

Reus is out for tomorrow's game going by Klopp's press conference earlier.

Nuri and Lars, could I ask you your opinion on the medium (one to three year) term outlook for Borussia? I was over there this season and loved it. Have Reus on the back of my jersey too :P. Hoping they will have another break out year next year where they win the Bundesliga but it's hard to see with Bayern so strong isn't it? The number 2 team in Germany perhaps?

    Speaking for myself here.

The outlook, despite what much of the media in England and fans of EPL clubS think is in fact good so long as we secure CL football, which we will barring another injury crisis.. err... upon the current injury crisis.

When talking about the future, it starts with Zorc (Sporting Director) and Klopp.

Zorc's future at the club is secured after signing a new contract a couple of months ago. The man is one of the best in the business at finalising deals in bringing in transfers. With what's happened with Lewa and Gotze, awarding of new player contracts will have to be more water tight and I'm sure it will be.

Regarding Klopp, they're so many people convinced he will abandon the club at the sight of money without knowing the type of person he is, other than being a damn good coach and funny guy. Dortmund like Mainz before is the type of club that attracts him. It's about community and being one of the people for him. I can hand on heart say he's one of few people in football who's word is legit and I take at face value. He like Zorc signed an extension to his contract that will see him to 2018 earlier in the season and I have no doubt he'll honour it. He's said he'll build a new Dortmund team and I have no reason he will. Then as I have suggested a few times before in this thread, I fancy him to take over as coach of the national team. Given one or two previous interviews on the subject, it seems like before 2020 at the latest he'll be coaching the national team.

Reus isn't going anywhere neither. He's a Dortmund boy through and through, someone who has reiterated numerous times that he knows the pain the fans, players and manager went through with Gotze' departure. He's someone who desperately wanted to return to Dortmund and has said, he have accepted any contract to resign for the club. On the off chance he were to leave, there would be an absolute frenzy to sign him from clubs in the CL. I know he's a keen follower of La Liga, so perhaps one of the two big boys will snap him up in the future if they are serious.

Lewa I've my feelings clear, I rather he remain on the bench and instead see Aubame start up front like he did for St.Etienne. As long as he does play, I'll support him, but I'm just uneasy with him being a starter and despite the goals, some awful performances. I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but I think we can adequately replace him, be it a Ramos, Volland or whoever else.

As for this season on the pitch overall, the team has been torn apart by injuries from the beginning till now which is rarely mentioned by EPL fans or press alike. There have been times where we've had to play a back four with none of the starters in it. Lewnadowski, Reus, Kehl, Bender and Gundogan have missed games here, there and everywhere. Gundogan who is in that top tier bracket of center midfielders has played 57 minutes this season, just 57(!) and will miss the rest of the season it seems. Subotic has played 10 games, he'll play no further part this season. He's only played in 10 games, his center back partner Hummels has only played 14 games. Kuba will miss the rest of the season, basically half the season due to his injury suffered in January. Piszchek is back now, but he's missed half the season too. You can see the games/minutes played for the squad here.

    http://www.transfermarkt.com/en/borussia-dortmund/ausfall/verein_16.html

As for Bayern specifically, I'm not scared of them. I don't like Pep, nor his football, but he's a great coach, but so is Klopp. They've been very, very fortunate with injuries this season. They're strength in depth though is something else, so when a player misses a game, well they're not missing him terribly if at all as I eluded to above. We cannot do that, especially when factoring in wages. If we have some luck on the injury front, I don't expect us to be more than 9 points off that at the very worst next season.. and with the right signings again like last summer, we'll be back competing with Bayern.

So with all that said, I'm not sure why people are either having a pop at Dortmund for their results/league position currently, dismissing the club and thinking they're respective clubs just have to click their fingers to get our coach and players.. or maybe they're completely naive and/or oblivious in not understanding how injury ravaged the team has been. Could many clubs have coped with our injury woes this season? Bayern maybe? Other than that, I genuinely don't think so. Klopp and co. have done an incredible job up to now all things considered. Just have to secure CL football for next season, and who knows, hopefully continue on our CL run this season (we can beat anyone on our day despite a thin squad at this moment).

Couldn't say it better myself :)

Only one bad thing about Klopp, his tempers won't help him in the long term, I'm afraid. Not that I fully support his commitment to the club or the way, he backs his players, but on the other side, but still, there is always a certain danger, that someone doesn't take you for serious with all them tempers and once the word is spread, you are busted.

I agree. He needs to chill at times, but we both know he has the heart of a fan to go with the tactical nous of a brilliant football manager. I'm not sure how one can curve that at his age :pac: And with the how the league season has panned out, I can understand his frustration, because again, there is no way Bayern are 20 points better than us.

BVB XI vs Zenit: Weidenfeller - Piszczek, Sokratis, Hummels, Schmelzer - Kehl, Sahin - Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan, Großkreutz - Lewandowski

Aubame misses a sitter early doors -_-

Hulk just screamed **** you Ade for dissing me over the years as he struck the ball there. Screamer of a goal, 1-0 to Zenit.. and now Lewa misses the next game as he picks up a booking.

    Kehl, 1-1 :D

First CL goal for Kehl after 2001, so I heard

Another goal would be nice. Zenit getting a result on our pitch sickens me.

Jolic is on for Miki. Think the latter might have picked up a knock. **** this season.

    Balls. Rondon scores, 2-1.

Schmelzer is injured now. **** this season.

    Piszczek is limping.

    BVB through.

There must be a bloody curse on us this season, I can't remember one single player who wasn't out injured yet

But anyway, I'm just delighted the match is over, tbh

Crikey, BVB can't catch a break! So many injured players. Feel sorry for Klopp. Poor game, BVB couldn't get into it really. Zenit played poorly too. Thankfully that game's over and Dortmund are into the quarter finals.

Klopp does seem like a loyal guy.I Can remember reading an interview with him a year or 2 ago when the side were flying thinking this guy could build a real legacy at Dortmund. He already has done with the trophies he's won but it could only be the tip of the iceberg if things go their way,Which is clearly not the case right now.
With the unbelievable amount of bad luck they've had with injuries,Bayerns new found dominance in the European game let alone domestically and the best players in his side jumping ship I think it's not unfair to suggest he would consider offers if trends continue.Yes an injury-ravaged season is unlikely to repeat itself so that bodes well for the future. But if another player,Not necessarily Reus,Was to up-sticks for Bavaria or other supposed greener pastures I imagine it'd be pretty hard to swallow.
The only reason I'd mention him in the same breath as the super-oiligarchy clubs is because when it comes down to it almost everyone in the game has their price,Add to that an incredibly talented guy who's patience could start wearing thin and I just think it's hard to leave anything off the table.I don't actually think he'll go to Monaco but it'd be foolhardy for fans to think he'll definitely stay.

My post wasn't really aimed at you saying he'd go to Monaco tbh, just more the general opinion amongst EPL fans and their clubs being able to pull the rug out from under our feet, be it from here, social media, friends IRL or wherever. It's tiring. Then there are others who'd like to see Dortmund put back in their box, because sure, only hipsters can like them, so players and coach abandoning the ship would be most ideal. I'd argue it's a hipster thing to hate Dortmund at this stage, and I'd genuinely question what type of small minded individual would feel the need to hate on Dortmund with no affiliation of the Bundesliga. This is a club that was staring into the abyss not long ago, but they changed their ways doing things the right way to become a footballing power again, and doing so playing good football while topping a club who, well.. I'm already going off tangent without ranting about Bayern, so I'll stop myself here :D

I'm not saying Klopp won't end up in La Liga or the EPL or even in Ligue 1 in the future at some point, but I believe without a hint of doubt that he'll see out his contract with Dortmund. You mention legacy, and that indeed is very much important to him. That and the type of club that attracts him.

Likewise with Reus to an extent, maybe he will move on in a few years time, but I really, really do not see it happening this year and probably next. People can go on about money he'd be earning at other clubs, but sure, Gotze could have been earning over 300K per week had he not rejected City's advances. Lewandowski could have earned a ridiculous amount at any club of his choosing really. Unfortunately for Dortmund, the above circumstances are weird what with the Traitor being a Munich boy at heart.. and a Pep fanboy and vice versa. Lewy's agent is a dick and his original contract didn't help. What am I trying to say is that money isn't the be all to end all, especially for German born and bred players, things are not clear cut like some wish for their club. As I'm typing, Miki is example of this too going the other way, he had the chance to making close to double what he is on currently had he opted for Liverpool last summer.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side as Nuri and Shinji have found/are finding out.

All these injuries...there comes a point it stops being bad luck and you have to question what's going on at the training ground?
