Just reading The Stretford End Flags twitter page

Seems they don't want to be the one's to fire the starting gun on a Moyes out campaign

    Stretford End Flags ‏@SEF_MUFC 2h
@jesslott9800 the banner will not be used as a starting gun for it. If people want to protest they can by their own means.

On the RVP topic. Agree with bloodbath. He's been poison lately.

I've said it about five times now. He scores his open goal against Fulham...two sitters against Arsenal and his strike against Olympiakos we will have had a totally different month.

Also had an unmarked header in the 6 yard box against Liverpool that he missed.

Not completely against him or anything but he shouldn't be undroppable

Nobody should be undroppable regardless of their ego, salary or transfer fee.

If you aren't playing up to scratch and there are other alternatives then some time on the bench can be the best thing for both the club and the player.

Van Persies playing at about 20-30% of the level he played at last season.

I agree with the sentiment that Van Persie should be dropped. We actually managed alright without him when he was injured. If he kicks up a sh*tstorm then get rid of him in the summer. No one man bigger than the club (except in Rooneys case of course :P ).

Did we? I remember a lot of posts along the lines of "Don't worry, when RVP comes back, he will rescue us." :P

Richard keys said Cavani to united is almost a done deal only the player has to decide if he wants the move...

Would be a great signing Bankok imagine him and Reus in CM next season!

"When RVP, Carrick, Vidic and Felliani come back we will make a push for fourth!"

I remember pointing out that United had been just as shlte the first ten games with those players, but some people just couldn't see the wood for the trees.

So it's RVPs turn now. Cool.

In terms of pace and breaking at speed is this one of the slowest united sides of the last couple of decades?
Teams can afford to push up and press us high up the pitch safe in the knowledge that should possession be lost they can easily shuffle back and get in position. Our attacking has become so laboured and one dimensional.

At least the criticism of RVP is warranted unlike the people slating Rooney.

No doubt the main cause is the useless midfield. The loss of Keane was the first blow, then Ronaldo, then Pogba, then Scholes leaving us with mediocrity that coasted along because of the world class talent around them.

When Fellaini got back fourth was long gone tbf to him.

If those four were fit and available all season I think the position would be better. Its not an excuse that Moyes deserves to have made for him though. He should have a squad in place that is capable of dealing with injuries.

Moyes not doing something about midfield undermined the team more than injuries.

It's a good point but I think speed of ball movement, players working as a unit in possession is a bigger issue and even with great pace that pace would be wasted with current style of play imo.

Man, Evra annoys me. Especially when he comes out with bull**** like this.
Patrice Evra admits it’s been a difficult season, but the Reds won’t give up: "I'm not God and telling you we will qualify tomorrow but I can promise you we will all fight and respect the shirt and make sure all the fans will be really proud of us after the game."

Fight? Ha. He'll be as bad as ever.

    Powell scored for Wigan
Goal! Wigan Athletic 1, Yeovil Town 0. Nick Powell (Wigan Athletic) header from very close range to the centre of the goal. Assisted by James McArthur following a fast break.

I still cringe at that chosen one banner, Id love to know who put that up. They must be awful idiots

You can thank @TuftyMUFC. He is the head of Stretford End flags, and generally comes across as a bit of a dick on his Twitter feed.

They do a lot of good work in trying to create a good atmosphere, but f*cking hell, they've gotten this spectacularly wrong. They are saying they represent fans opinion, but refuse to have a poll as to whether people want the banner taken down, and get bitchy when people ask legitimate questions of them.

Can only imagine the opposition songs if that banner goes down!

Have you watched the last 2 games? He was total rubbish in both.

We were noticeably better when he was taken off in the west brom game and would have been if he was taken off in the pool game.

Honestly so many in here spouting total rubbish.

You're the same kind of person who told me I was an idiot for saying Rio was past it back in October. You obviously don't watch the games.

I watched last year, how he was given great service, banged in 26 goals in the premiership and practically won the league for Utd single handidly.
Drop him for having 2 bad games? Piss off.
He has been playing off scraps. Cross after cross flying over his head or having to compete in the air for balls in the box.
Rubbish to be thinking of droping RVP. Hes a goal machine if he gets the service.
Have you watched the last 2 games and seen the sh1te utd have played?

We will look immensely stupid... It was probably a bad idea in the first place a sure sign of how untouchable 'we' thought 'we' were.

If people want to campaign for his head they can do so without removing the banner, not while the manager is in situ anyway.

I'd like to see Van Persie get a pass into his feet. I'll reserve judgement until I see that happen.

A good CF does more than sit and wait for a tap in to be handed to him on a plate. He's had good chances, chances he would have buried last year.

There's no doubt he's not getting as many chances as he should but he's not taking as many as he should be either and is contributing very little nothing in build up play.

Agree. Never a fan of that banner, but, imagine the press would have a field day if they took it down. Best to leave it up until/if he goes.

Or change all the flags so it doesnt seem as obvious!

Oh believe you me... that song would stick!! Taking it down makes more noise imo.

It will go down by default when he leaves, hopefully soon

"Wheres your banner gone.... of the chosen one"

Seriously wish people would stop thinking there's any merit in an argument along the lines of "But what will other people think"...

Agree with above. If it went up after a season or two of Moyes being in charge when it may have looked like he's there for the long haul, it may be understandable. To put it up immediately was a sign of arrogance and just asking for a kick in the ass in the event things went horribly wrong.

I'd find it hard to believe they will take it down while he's still in charge. These are basically the same guys still offering what seems like total backing to the manager so for them to essentially sing one thing but do the opposite just wouldn't make sense to me.

What others think would be irrelevant in my thinking but [spoiler: controversy ahead], the people who put the sign up are the "hardcore" fans so I don't think THEY will take it down as THEY won't want to be seen as being fickle or turning on their clubs manager or essentially all the terrible, lazy, cheap arguments that those in the "pro-Moyes" camp may trot out.
