Where is Janko playing? I thought he was a right back.

Does anyone else feel Moyes will get his P45 if they lose on Wednesday?

Give me a few minutes...just turned on.

    Normally right back isn't he?

Honestly I think it will be the summer.

But lose on Wednesday and it will be pre signed if not done so already.

No. He'll get the summer transfer window and prob until Christmas to show some sort of improvement.

If we go out on Wed, don't get 3 points at West Ham and get humiliated by Man City, then I think he's gone.

It will cost us £25m to sack him unfortunately unless a settlement is agreed.

The United team are well capable of stuffing the Greeks but because we can't play as a team they will have our number again and we'll go out

Then the city game, we could be just 2 points ahead of 9th place after that game

If Moyes still has his job in 8 days we're probably stuck with him for next season

I can't see him being sacked unless we're regressing next season too. Ferguson will fight tooth and nail to keep Moyes here.

Ferguson can be overruled by the owners. And should be.

If Fergie publicly stands up against the owners about Moyes, would many Utd fans support him?

Not many at this stage imo. Fergie got awful stubborn in his last few years as United manager ignoring the CM problem too

Ferguson always said that one man cant be bigger than the club when it came to players like Roy, RVN, Ince, Hughes etc. It should apply to him too in this case. His ego cant get in the way of the well being of the club.

Cost us a damn sight more not to sack him.

Would rather another manager with a warchest of 175m than to see Moyes with 200m :P

So what are everyone's thoughts on Wednesday? I be surprised if we won never mind got through.
I'm pretty confident Utd will get through. May well go to extra time but I think they'll get the job done. Despite their poor season they've managed two goal victories 7 or 8 times already against inferior opposition.

Maybe they'll quit soccer for a while and instead go to the races.

I can see Olympiakos freezing on the big occasion. Greek teams in Europe don't tend to travel well.

Wouldn't be shocked to see us win but not qualify. Which will give people the excuse of not being able to fire Moyes after he's won a game.

Honestly think if he's survived the Pool game (which he obviously has, sadly), then he'll last till the summer...

I wouldn't agree. Ferguson may have some stubborn traits but never to the point where he'd put the club in any sort of serious danger. He wouldn't have been successful over a 25 year period at the club if he were incapable of realising terrible mistakes and rectifying them, it would've been impossible.

Besides, I doubt businessmen like the Glazers are going to see their ~$2 billion asset crumble in fear of upsetting Ferguson.

Letting Moyes spend a quarter of a billion pounds on players after going out of every comp and finishing at highest 6th is mad, the finance guys will be sweating

Do you think Mata was all Moyes idea?

    I doubt it.

Are people still deluded here ?? Like there is talk in previous posts about Manchester united overturning a two goal deficit.
1984- The last time Manchester United overturned a two goal deficit from a first leg The Cup Winner’s Cup quarter final in 1984 against Barcelona saw Manchester United come back from a two goal deficit to beat the Catalan club 3-0 in the second leg at Old Trafford. After seeing some of the worst performances in recent years at Old Trafford we think that a manager who has consistently proved to be tactically inept , we now suddenly think that we will go through ?? Am I missing something ? This is the man that has spent £37million on Juan Mata to use him in the same way as Ashley Young then he clearly has no clue as a manager.

Get your bets on lads Man Utd to qualify for Champions League quarter-finals @ 23/11 with Betfair , I for one will be staying away from that !

I'd take a defeat on Wednesday if it guaranteed Moyes departure.

Not sure where you are going with 'at highest 6th'. 5th place is still very achievable. Also I'm sure it won't be just Moyes making the decisions on how to spend the money.
