Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Kindle Fire Netflix warning - Caveat Emptor

    As stated during our call, Kindles unfortunately do not support NetFlix outside of the United Kingdom. "

    Be aware that, according to Amazon, they will not permit Irish devices to download the NetFlix app. After contacting Netflix, they do not see a good reason for this as NetFlix is licensed within Ireland.

    I asked Amazon rep to escalate and was told 'no'.

    Anyone know a way around this?

    I'm in the same boat. I've decided to return it as I can't use skype or skygo on it either.

    I changed the address on my kindle fire to my brothers in London and have been using the Netflix app for the last couple of months with no problems
