it pays for our hospitals. Only about 40% pre-bail-out was spent on roads. Likely to be much lower now.

anyone here into their vinyl? bought a vinyl player, awful sound out of it... sounds like its in a tin.

What player did you get? If its the briefcase one from Rage in Dublin, I've heard there's quality control issues with some of them. Bring it back for another.

Mine has an equaliser type knob on it - it's a small one beside the volume. If its all the way to the left it might sound tinny, because the bass is taken out.

    Really?

I thought it was only for the upkeep and maintenance of the roads

It's a steepletone one from rage. Not the briefcase, the other one they sell. What one do you have if you don't mind me asking?

What's the going price of a vinyl player? Been looking for a decent one since everyone is raving about the sound quality.

Mine was 60 or so, but it's not great.

Na, all tax is basically dumped into a big pot and dived up. Tax isn't reserved for certain expenditure. Currently about 84% of all tax is spent on Social Welfare, Health and Education.

I've two - the Steepletone one ST282 (might be the one you have) in the computer room and my Dads old HUGE Sony one in the sitting room. The Steepletone one we have has some extra speakers in it, so it's not coming directly from the body. Sounds great!

yeah its a strange one, i have mine plugged into my pc speakers and sub, which generally provide a decent bass sound, but when the vinyl player is going through it, there is hardly any bass at all.

Great game of rugby pity about the end result but to be fair England deserved that win

If Ireland don't win the Six Nations, I'd rather see Wales win it than France or England.

Hate Wales as much as anyone tbh. As Red said we got what we deserved, wasn't a great spectacle but a VERY intense game to watch. Real Test rugby. Our kicking hurt us & I always feel Murray is too slow at the breakdown aswell.

Oh I'm not a Wales fan, I just hate England, and really hate France.

I like the French the most even if they have hurt us the most on the pitch. But the current French side are the shíts tbh, so badly managed its not even funny.

I don't really have any bias just don't see them topping the table. England would be my favourites.

Yea Sexton was off his game today imo , there is times like this where you do miss O Gara . But he did have a decent game against Wales 2 weeks ago . Its a pity he seems to have a very hit and miss . Plus at the moment there is no really ready yet to be a back up . I know they tried Jackson but he was far from ready

It was tiring watching it. Hard to begrudge England the win overall but if Ireland had just been a bit more slicker (that Trimble opportunity in the first half, that BOD lay-off that Sexton missed in the second etc.)

Ah well. Still a lot to play for, but I agree with Diabhal that the English are the favourites.

Tbh I doubt Jackson will ever be ready to make a big impact from the bench fair true for what they said about us transitioning from Rodge/Humpries to Rodge/Sexton & Sexton/Jackson doesn't have the same ring to it. O'Gara was so great at game management too, if we had him to come on after 55 mins tonite it would of helped.

So I recorded my TV Quizshow for TV3 the other day. It's called Crossfire and it's gonna air in April and I'll be on the first ever showing of it. Make it part of your WrestleMania Weekend if you can :)

Sad news indeed, ill never forget going to my first day of school with my GB backpack and begging my mam to change my name to Egon as I thought the kids would laugh at Joseph. How lucky I was she ignored that plea.

Don't cross the beams :o RIP

Sad news. What ever happened to Ghostbusters 3 which seemed to be in the pipeline forever?
