Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Boyles today had the SP fav placepot at Dundalk Friday up at 16's,
    Paddy Power had the same SP Fav placepot at Dundalk up at 33's? :confused:
    They were within 2 minutes of each other, left one and walked into the other.
    Anybody know how could there be such a difference on the same market?

    Yeah Boyles are in big trouble, they give out the worst odds and specials, you should not really consider them a bookie really as they would never take a decent bet.

    Their Favs Placepot prices are lower 90% of the time against PP.
    Ladbrokes used to do them but stopped about a year ago.
    They never change their prices when there's a non runner in a race to leave 4 runners as then the horse would have to win the race so the odds would be bigger.

    Simply a case that bar a few golf odds they are the worst for prices on everything else. Big shops to attract the down and outs to sit in all day and take their dole money.

    why do you say they are in big trouble? personally I thought they focussed too much on the retail side when all the money was tru the online growth.

    Im saying there in trouble because of there approach to customers, word gets out how much bad value they are and more and more people form a opinion of them over the medium term, not very good business sense to me.

    They have enough shops with no competition around to keep them going.
    Saw their HQ is up for sale in Dundalk at the next Allsops auction.

    That's not related to how Boylesport are performing, they only lease the office space.

    Wasn't saying it was related.

    Did notice there are at least 5 sales in Allsops auction this month where there are bookies as sitting tenants.
