Looked into farming there a few years back. There are many plusses. Then again it would take a certain type of person to live there all year. It is a tad bleak.

Chernozem or" black earth" is the name for that soil reckoned to be the most fertile ,a big belt of it runs through Romania

Hi all, sorry if i'm going off topic, but who or where in the south east region would be the best place to look for a shed ( preferably new ). 4 span ( 60 odd feet) x 30 feet wide, sheeted down to 6 feet on 3 sides ( back and 2 sides ), the fourth side to be left open. Preferably "A" roof but round roof would be okay. Grateful for any info.

Read something on one of the threads a week or two ago which mentioned a spray 'to clean up a field', can't find the name of it anywhere, just would like to kill off some of the weeds that are mixed in through the grass in fields which have'nt been reseeded to give the grass a better chance to come on.

Not yet any way. I recalculated the spring rotation planner last night to show him how much of a smaller area the cows would get if he let them out now compared to Feb.

Hi-Load Micram would give a fairly good clean Docks daisy's thistles nettles chickweed buttercup and plantain. you can alsdo add MCPA to it (which is cheap as well) to kill other weeds such as danadaloin and clean a lot of the weeds at the butt of old grassland. Farmers often get caught up in reseeding when spraying for 20-30/acre will improve o/p bt 30%

One big live calf is better than two possibly dead ones, although two live ones would be grand too

21 days, off Westside Bob. Only blue we have on this year.
Very confused when I went down to get the calf to suck, she had a second water bag:confused: Handled her again and no sign of anything, just the afterbirth coming.
So got calf to suck, and now about to head down and check her again.
