If you were standing in the spreader you were completing the circuit on the high voltage side of the welder, and will always get shock under these circumstances as you are standing on the earth in the wet.

Seriously pee'd off her this morning. Went in for my breakfast and the father let all the cows out into a whole field of grass. Didn't set up wires or Nothing. Doesn't know what the depand of the cows will be even. Needless to say we had a big argument for one its too early. And the fields are still a bit spongy after the rain. I wanted to hold off for another ten days.

    Near breaking point....

God, I wish I could have an argument about letting cows into grass at this time of year.

We didn't get rain anyways. Count to 10 and make the effort to calm down :p, but seriously losing the rag achieves nothing (not that i can talk about not losing it!). Anyways you don't have a hope of changing his ways overnight so you'll just have to keep chipping away at it and eventually you'll have things the way you want them, rome wasn't built in a day and all that.

Fcukers are just running around in the field and I still have a dozen cows that are calving after mid march to dry off and there very heavy in calf.
Not going to have any cows calving before Feb next year, do he hasn't got and excuse to let them out

Ours were blowing for road on Fri and it would be hard to blame them it was some day. They'll be out this week preferably on the second fine day:rolleyes:. We've good covers, actually getting it hard to find ground suitable to take slurry as a lot of the covers are higher than you'd like. But the thought of them fcukacting around a 12 acre field would make me.......

What would happen if you just went out and rounded them up and put them back in

They wouldn't come in I'd say. They would start running again. Field is in **** now.

I came home too quick I think

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,643 ✭✭✭biddy2013

would they normally go out at this time of year?

How you deal with it is more important than what happened. From what I gather you've a long road ahead of you yet time wise. The ould fella will be gone some day and despite the blazing rows (I have a doctorate in them) you'll miss him.

The grass will grow again. Ould lads will dig their heels in with rows, and often go out of their way to do their own thing more afterwards even to the point of getting hurt.

Does he own the place entirely or are ye in partnership?

I'd say ask yourself the question do you want to leave? Really think about that. If you find yourself hmmming and hawing about it then you don't want to. Then you need to find a better way of dealing with things that annoy you.

Not preaching to you, I don't know the in's and out's, just an observation.
