    Hi All
I finally got around to tasting this bad boy last night and I really think what happened at the first sip could be described as a religious experience.
Just wondering if anyone else has tried it because it deserves a thread of its own....easy.
This is the best example of a Double IPA I've ever tried.... and I've tried more than a few.
But don't just take my word for it

Staff in Oslo saying they can barely keep up with demand.
    Must be selling well

I really liked it, will definitely be drinking it again.

Really felt the alcohol afterwards though, don't think I'd drink more than one on a night out.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Indeed
Had 2 last night along with 2 Full Sails
    Feeling it today.
    Fantastic beer though

Agree with u. Its a great beer!!, the brewer that made it is only in his early 20's i believe. Imagine with a few more years experience what he will be churning out.
    Excellent beer!!

Had it a week ago or so in ATG, very nice, reminded me of Widmer Bros. Nelson Imperial Ale, will defo be getting it again.

Yep, lovely beer. Taste-wise, it's a wrestling match between the malts and the hops, with each seeming to get on top at various stages during the course of a glass.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,691 ✭✭✭ciaran76

The tropical fruit taste also is not overpowering and leads lovely into the hops.

Winter is generally porter and wheat beer drinking time for me, but not this year.
Sweet lord this stuff is amazing.
Hopefully they can keep it up

Anyone know when bottles of this are likely to hit the Off Licences?
    Thanks in advance.

Did I read something about the bottles going be 500ml?

    Well in that case.......
Fcuk Christmas.... January is going to be awesome
Normally I dislike 330ml bottles but had vowed to buy if this beer was inside
    500ml though....... Unreal.
    Price is irrelevant

    500ml, I'm guessing a price of 4.39 at least?

    I reckon €4, at most.

I've been told that the Foam and Fury tastes a lot like Flying Dog's "Raging bitch Belgian style Ipa".
    Is this an accurate Likeness?

I don't know what it tastes like, except that it's one of the best beers I have had.
Full of flavour and excellently balanced.
    Its perfect.
I can't think if many beers that I'd drink ahead of it. I liked it more than hoptimum and that's saying something.

Wow high praise indeed. Went to ATG last Sunday but they were sold out.
I'm chomping at the bit for this stuff!

I wouldn't be the best qualified to give my opinion on it. Someone like Saruman or the beer nut would be but I know that if I've a choice between foam and fury or hoptimum it'll be foam and fury that I'll be going for.

I wouldn't agree with that assessment at all to be honest...

I *think* Al in brewdock told me it would be back in either tomorrow or friday.

Chris posted something on twitter about kegging F&F to send to Dublin the other day too so pop back in friday and you should be good.

Here's what I thought of it.
It's an awesome beer and I can't wait for it to be available in bottle.

Back on draught in Salt House in Galway today so should arrive in Dublin with the weekly delivery tomorrow afternoon.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,245 ✭✭✭sofireland

The draught drought should end soon. Tomorrow hopefully.
Personally like Beermack I think they take some cues from Brewdog Hardcore IPA.
This make no mistake however is an amazing beer.
