Anyone know how long a VAT refund (unreg farmer) usually takes? Its with them 3 weeks now. Last time I made a mistake and they returned form to me within a week - so I presume that what i have sent in is ok. Time before that I'm sure the refund came back in about 2 weeks?

Depends when you apply for it, this can be a busy time for revenue, also at the end of every 2 month period eg feb, april, june etc. there is a bit of a blip as vat registered ppl submit their returns. Might be worthwhile giving them a call towards the end of the week though.

We used it on a reseed that we couldn't tie in with the blanket lime spreading of the farm, it works out expensive, the reseed field beside it (which has the same lime requirement of 2.5T/Acre) got the lime & we can't see any difference even though the Physolith is supposed to work straight away & the lime takes a yr before it works.

Firstly the rep told us that the Physolith would work for aprox 5 yrs & when we asked that question again he said 2/3 years it would work for.

i told tge father not to bother but he wentvahead and got it. Your man was goin on about how it was a soil conditioner and how it brings all the minerals to the surface and all. But we'll see how we get on with this lot. My father has a believe that once you have your ground lime spread ypu she should spread bag lime every year. Im not so sure

****. He gave him 1 injection and left me 1 To give the following day. I might be in a spot of bother. And hes a ped bull and all.

Your vet is a tool. In my experience you need to use nuroclav for at least ten days and possibly two weeks to clear it. Its very important to use clean dry needles as well because the nuroclav will thicken and clot in the bottle if it gets any moisture.

I had a calf with it in spring and it took about 10 days to clear it.

Any time I applied for it, it always seemed to come back quicker than I expected. I think once I got a response within a week.
3 weeks seems a long time.

Vet would have to tell you what he uses. For your remedies record !

Bloody thermoduric measurement of 1300 in the last milk collection! Hasn't been a problem all year for us, the parlour gets a hotwash 3times a week, rubbers all get changed regularly and all that. Anyone any suggestions? And does anyone know what the Glanbia fine is for it?

October. Was a TBC test done on the same day, that only came in at 6! I don't know if its the same sample used for both, but seems funny that TBC is low but thermo sky high, both are quite similar I though, thermo just bacteria that isn't killed by hotwashing?

Haha Remedies record, never even heard of it. It hard even to get the folks to register calves let alone keep a remedie record.

Had my 3rd session of accupunture for my back. Beginning to get a bit more mobility back. Thank God for boards and donedeal. As you will see on the photo thread I also learned to post photos with the help of my eldest lad who is a bit of a whiz on computers. He also put boards etc on the Tele through the WI console to keep me busy.

Are the cows still out?? not sure but I think the thermo bacteria are more common in soil so possibly your pre milking routine for that day missed a bit of earth an the udders of a few cows if your grazing tight?? strange one alright when it was low all year
