Any update on his hand injury or next fight?

Would love to see more of this guy. Think the decision to have the last fight in Germany could lead to getting more fights there.

If Perez lets say wins his next 2 - 3 fights. Then surely the top 20 can't keep avoiding him?
I'v seen a few of his fights and he has cruised through most of them. He is one of the few heavyweights I'v seen with genuine handspeed and power.
For instance I'd take him to make short work of Tomasz Adamek, yet Adamek is a dead cert to be in or around the big fights for the next 2 years if he wants to be. With the right fights and good training I see very little to stop Perez.
Hope this hand injury doesn't prove too bad.
Imagine that Kevin McBride got a shot at Adamek two years ago!!

Interesting. Abdusalamov has a poor defence but he's aggressive and can whack. Might tell us something. Perez should beat him but no walkover.

That has the makings of a great fight, they had to put something decent on the undercard as Golovkin will win very easy.

wow really looking forward to this!..can perez finally make the impact he needs!!

Lets hope he turns up in really good shape. If he does and looks good winning then there will be a lot of doors open for him imo.

perez won on points in america last night.

Heroic from both fighters. Perez checked over 800 punches in 10 rounds. Mago hit Perez with something like 27 power punches in round 3. Mago fought with a broken hand and a broken nose/face. He actually had to go get surgery to remove a small blood clot as well:eek:.

Perez threw more punches in 10 rounds than Haye has in the last 4 years.

Anyone else notice Perez's size increase? Looks a whole different fighter than he looked a few years ago.

Spot on. His arms, back and shoulders look huge.

I still think a lighter more agile Perez is a far more dangerous animal. Maybe they feel his increased size is necessary to compete with the bigger guys?

Looks like he might be finally coping himself on and showing the promise that we all know he has.

Not sure about whupping him but it would be a solid win over a top 10 heavyweight.

I think it would be quite one sided. Chisora is far too slow. A real plodder!

have to agree with this, the fact he is a "top 10 contender" is indicative of all thats weak about HW boxing today.

Perez would shut out Chisora to a UD

Chisora would be a good name to have on the record but it would be very hard to give Chisora a chance against Perez.

Mike Perez is back in action on January 18th fighting Carlos Takam on the undercard of Bute v Pascal.

He's getting another run out on HBO aswell in this, so fair play

Good to see that Perez will be giving some of the purse to Mago's family and he will have Mago stitched into his shorts.

Bryant Jennings has a very long reach of 213 cm (84 in) - even longer than the much taller Wladimir Klitschko whose reach is 206 cm (81 in).

What is the reach of Mike Pérez?

Delighted this fat piece of shít lost. People pay a lot of money to attend these events, the least the fighters can do is turn up in shape. Perez along with a load of other heavyweights, Fury included, are supposed to be full time athletes yet go into the ring disgracefully out of shape despite having several weeks of preparation time. The disrespect they have for the sport is appalling imo. Imagine Lionel Messi or Usain Bolt looking like that. It's no wonder the division is considered a joke. Perez should find another career, despite all his obvious talent, he's not cut out for boxing.

I'm in a lot better shape than Perez, but that's irrelevant. My career doesn't require me to be in shape. I have dedication to my career. I get up and go to work Monday to Friday, this guy obviously doesn't. There's nothing internet warrior about calling out his disgraceful lack of discipline.
