    75 - 4 = 71
    71 x 7 = 497
    10 x (1 + 1) = 20
    497 - 20 = 477

    Now:

    3 5 5 1 9 7 ---> 973

    Arg! I hate the little numbers!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,358 ✭✭✭Aineoil

    9 * 3 = 27

    27 * 5 = 135

    5-1 = 4

    135 + 4 = 139

    139 * 7 = 973

    Oops the target was 973,sorry

    N = 3, 7, 6, 3, 7, 1

    T = 723

    I can't do the one I posted. Anyone else in the same boat? Maybe I am missing it completely?

    I'm out by 3. Can anyone else do this one? I can get 720.

    New numbers

    N = 100, 18, 12, 4, 0, 1
    T = 187

    You can only use 1-10 as small numbers, and you can't do anything with 0 in the first place.

    In the absence of a set of numbers can we move on?

    Nearest I can get
    6+8=14
    50+8-3=55
    14*55=770
    770-6=764

    8 + 8 = 16
    16 * 50 = 800
    800 - (6 * 6) + 3 = 767

    More:

    50 8 8 4 1 7
    286

    75 x (6 + 4) = 750 + 25

    + 9 -2 = 782

    Cheers! I must have more faith in my own randomness then!
