I wonder if Joe gets as worked up about Supervalu's wine ad as he does by Arther day??

    oh god no.

fine respectable middleclass people drink wine and have the decency to beat their partners behind drawn curtains.

its the beer driking gurriers riding their daughters in the jaxes that need to be delt with.

the hypocracy of this whole "weve a drink problem" issue that does my head in. sooner or later ya have to ask the question "if society aint changing no matter what ya do, maybe YOU have the problem with people drinking?"

    :D

its a hell of a good shot.

was it taken by a fellow gard as its seems to be right on his shoulder.

    :D

i seen that bloke go down on the news last night and had no idea why as RTEs angle made it look like he just dropped unconcious.

guess we know what caused it now. thank god for picturephones.

As you know i lived in central europe for a number of years. Drink there is more accessible than here, cheaper than here, has 24-hour licensing etc. Some people drink a lot more than here and yet there is no problems with people being drunk and disorderly. Why? Because being drunk and disorderly is frowned about by your fellow drinkers and is an arrestable offence which is enforced. I went to some crazy parties. Parties that started at lunchtime and I got home at 9am the next morning and never had an ounce of trouble.

Even from his initial tone you can detect whether Joe is in agreement with a caller or not..
