Them odds were fierce accurate. Clare the much better side so much so Davy was grinning and taking photos afterwards. Thank god Liverpool won as Milan fair let me down bad.

I got a Universal adapter in Maplin and you can switch the different connections to suit the type you need. Think it was pricey enough though but it still works.

I thought that Galway could give Clare a good showing but jaysus they had no leadership at all. Not a single player stood up whereas the likes of McInerney and Podge did.

Getting a filling on Tuesday. Been 13 years since I had one, and the memories are all horrible.

People, tell me modern medicine has improved and it's all bubblegum and rainbows now rather than massive drills and complete agony

Ermm....I hate the dentist myself so I won't lie. It's still drills but not very much agony!

Yep. They just make you chew sweets until they go into the holes in your teeth at which point they harden and you get to enjoy the remnants.

This may or may not be true.

Long time since I've been to the dentist. Really should make an appointment.

The only thing you feel is the needle and that doesn't even hurt. It just feels weird. After that, you can hear it but feel nothing unless the dentist slips and drills through the side of your jaw.

Hate going to the dentist there are always mistakes being made by them when I go(my injection wears off, they have no X-Ray machine or a time when they put me under & I took forever to recover).

In other news.

Went to the butchers today, parked a bit away from it and walked. These three teenagers started following me, getting closer and closer. Went into the butchers and they sat outside, and when I walked out, started following me again.

In either the bravest or most idiotic moment of my life, I spun round after two steps and glared at them, before telling them to "Get the **** away from me!". They laughed....but they walked off in the other direction quickly. Was scared but had decided any confrontation was going to be on my terms; did it right outside the butchers where he could have seen and helped if anything went wrong. A few more steps and I'd have been alone in a car park.

Was scary, but honestly...afterward, I felt untouchable having stood up to three thugs and scaring them away :pac:

I just got a bill that apparently I took to much dole while I was unemployed... tough long week ends well :mad: I have said a few times this week it cant get worse well it has its mental.

Did you work a day or something during your time claiming? Whenever I get a days sub work, I have to tell them and they deduct me some...

many of the people i'm going to be teaching in my new job are actually unemployed and being payed by the German Gov to learn a 2nd language so as to improve their job prospects... something tells me this isn't happening back home

then again im probably not in the best situation to comment on such matters atm having just enjoyed a fair few of these beauties

Which is only fair. You'd be surprised how many don't tell them and do work on the side with also collecting the dole. Thats very poor form, considering lots of families around the country barely making ends meet.

The argument can also be made for that the dole is far too high in this country so there is no incentive or actual need for a good chunk of people on the dole, who have been on it for years, to complete a college course/degree or look for work and better themselves. They are fully content with their €180, or whatever it is now, handout per week.

But I don't want to get into a debate about the dole on boards as it never ends well.
