Anybody here thinking of doing the trinity pre-lecture chemistry course? I don't really want to do it but I heard that for science/ engineering you should do it if you haven't done chemistry for the leaving cert.

    Dale, Physio :D
Also no word from the college yet. Would it be recommended that Physio's do the pre-lecture chemistry course too?:/

If you haven't done LC chemistry before then it might help. If you've done it before then there's no point. The chemistry module in physio is so irrelevant & unimportant.

I'm Stephen, 19 and doing BESS :D Currently trying to pick my extra module for first year :(

I'm in the same boat. I want to do a language but don't have the previous qualifications to allow me. I'll probably end up doing Social Policy Concepts.

Good luck with choosing, anything I might be interested in specialising in later on needs biology so I didn't have any problems with choice

Same! :) I hear it's the most popular combination, suppose it gives the most choice when you're picking your degree later :)

Yeah, I'm leaning towards biology just because it'll keep so many more doors open for me, whereas with physics I'm really pigeon-holing myself unnecessary since I'll probably be doing something chemistry related in third year anyone (or possibly neuroscience and I'll need bio modules for that!).

True that, physics options are really a lot more limited (also I promised myself about halfway through the exam paper in June that I would never study the subject again so maybe I'm biased XD) Ah, tis neuroscience I'm leaning towards, or genetics, or chemistry... or maybe immunology... Yeah, pretty clear why I'm doing common entry science :P
