Breaking Bad is back on August 11th

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

Watched the Bourne Legacy there since I had nothing better to do.

Can I have those 138 minutes back?

Far too long and almost nothing happens for easily the first 100 or so minutes (probably longer, but I'll be generous). It picks up after that, but, then just ends. Felt like they wanted to make a big long movie but got bored and decided to just end it there. Seems like their should have been more after.

Could have cut it to about 90 and it'd have been much easier to take. Sitting through almost two and a half hours for a nothing ending was annoying as hell.

The Newsroom returned last night though. Add that to True Blood & Dexter and youve got the big (non WWE PPV) Sunday shows atm until Breaking Bad gets back.

Just back from the vet. Texas has a bad stomach, but it's just gas apparently. She's lying here farting away. Not the calmest of afternoons :P

The cinema is refreshingly air-conditioned! Only seen man of steel recently and it's worth the cinema trip. Haven't heard much of Simon Pegg's new film or WWZ

I've liked all the films I've seen recently, as long as you're going for entertainment and not indepth storytelling and characters.
    World War Z
    Pacific Rim
    Now You See Me
    This is the End

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,626 ✭✭✭Dancor

This is the end is hilarious. One of the funniest films I've seen in ages.

    Diabhal What happened?
Did the Armagh lads get sun stroke?

Galway finally showed some passion. They were written off bigtime and had about 4 contenders for MOM. They finally beat an average team. Gonna go Croker and skip Thurles for the armchair. Don't think I'd want to waste money seeing a team that had handbags over a club match to go to that ****hole Thurles.

Ah heeyor a bit if respect for the home of hurling.

Some turnaround for the footballers from barely beating Waterford to that. Sport is great.

Aye. It was meant to have been cleared up but I've heard a few rumours dispelling that.

Love the stadium. The town is a bit of a pain in the hole to get to for ourselves even by train, pints are some of the poorest I've had, the Supermacs lives up to the Jackeen's stereotype of how bad they think the food is and it's a bit smelly.

Think Waterford were given little credit. If Hurney had tried to turn our FB-line once instead of taking points ye'd have won IMO. Armagh are just as inconsistent as Galway though but they don't have the underage success that we've had. We had a debutant who absolutely murdered Jamie Clarke in terms of having any impact.

Can't believe it! I really hope they take from the story line of the dark knight returns comic/graphic novel.

Honestly? Not great. I've a topic over on the Animal board detailing the problems, but there's a fear starting to grow that there's some neurological problems. Her character has been changing something awful in the last week and I'm at my wits end with frustration, upset and exhaustion. :(

Don't go jumping to conclusions until a vet has confirmed it, TSC. Everybody who gets a dog at first always fears the worst, and over reacts to every little thing. Remember she's a growing pup who is still getting used to her new environment and is possibly still missing her mother. Take her to a vets and be prepared to pay for a scan or whatever if you're that worried about her. Until then, chin up.

Yes Glen is right TSC take Texas to the vet

    Yeah. I know you're right.

But we had a big problem tonight. She bit me and managed to leave a really nasty cut on my hand now. I know it's not her fault, I know she's not being bad on purpose.

But honestly? I actually have started crying a few times today in sheer frustration. As I said, I've gone into a bit more detail over on the Animal forum.

    I'm so, so tired.

She doesn't know any better and why should she? You're her master. You need to teach her that biting someone is unacceptable while she is young enough to train. Nobody ever said that training a puppy is easy. I adopted a 5 year old dog 3 and a half months ago. He growled at my friends, barked at strangers, and bit my Dad. Since then he loves my Dad while he's still very unpredictable around strangers and men in particular. That's something I'll never be able to change because he's either been abused by his previous owners or that's just who he is. I have to adapt to that. You don't. Don't give up on her. Man up, do a bit of research, put in the hours, raise your voice, and teach that dog a trick or two. She's your responsibility and she's relying on you. You owe it to her. Sorry to sound so harsh but that's part and parcel of having a dog. It'll be worth it in the end.
